I was just curious if guys, in general, like or hate if a girl can beat him at a sport.

For instance: basketball. Me and some friends went out for a couple days on a weekend retreat and for the first time in a while, I decided to play some basketball. I played one on one with one of the guys and I beat him by a landslide. I do know he was trying though. He said it didn't bother him that I beat him, but I wasn't so sure...

Generally if its something I play regularly and its some what skill based then I would not be extremely pleased getting beat by a girl, but i would be more angry at myself for losing than getting beat by a girl if that makes any sense.

 I love when I run and I see a girl pass me. Doesn't happen very often... actually it doesn't happen at all :(:o But I'd love it. Same goes for biking. Now swimming is an other story - pretty much all of them are faster since they've usually been on the team in high school etc. Reminds me that one should remain humble :o

Aikido (if you want to call it a sport) - there is no better feeling than being thrown around by a girl :lmao:

My nickname in every sport that involved catching ball was "stone hands"

i'm not bothered by anyone beating me at a sport.

hell, I won't even play $1 a hole when golfing.

it's a very bad investment.

I know it really pissed off my state champion wrestler ex when I tossed him off his bed and did a Hulk Hogan pose to celebrate.

It would never happen because no woman can beat me at anything.

If someone--male or female--is just honestly better at some sport than I am, what would I have to complain about?

It would actually turn me on...especially if she's good at golf...I'd be putty in her hands...:o

To some it won't matter, to others they'll be highly amused and maybe buzzed/turn-on, to others again, they'll be mildly peeved and to a few, it may well be the death knell of any potential or current relationship. Those are your four main reactions or types of guys you may face. The reactions don't alter much be it men or women that these types take on, except possibly, the last type. And thankfully, the last type tend to make their feelings known in double quick time. Sore losers, not the best types to be associated with.

In my experience, they hate it.

I've been playing tennis since I was a little kid and played competitively and seriously for years, so I have kicked the butt of every boyfriend I've had on the court. One of them, the most athletic and alpha of the bunch, became nearly enraged when I beat him, and he was huffing and puffing for an hour afterward.

Out of the two sets we played, I did throw one game, and I never told him I gave him that game. I'm sure it would have only enraged him further.

We did have great sex that night, though.

When I was a child a girl tried overtaking me in a race and as she ran past I tripped her up.

I'm on a national team for the sport that both my boyfriend and I play (and I am going to the world championships this summer in Europe, yeah!). When I first made the team he mentioned how it was actually kind of a turn-on being able to say he was dating a national team member. So in his case, it I'm assuming he likes that I can beat him?

For men in general:

If you're hot, no

If you're not, probably.

I don't care really, because I know for a fact I wouldn't have to worry about being out-lifted by a woman in power lifting.

Men were made to lift heavy things, that's one thing I happen to be good at.

I always thought BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER was hot.

Oooh...Kristy Swanson or Sarah Michelle Gellar...?

Not really too bothered because I am not that physically active to play sports well anyway (starting to go to gym). That said, it will be fun as it will motivate me to beat her and then slim down :D

BOTH but I was thinking about Sarah Michelle Gellar and the TV show when I made the comment.

You know, the funny thing about this would be that many people would be asking - who's Kristy Swanson and what's she got to do with Buffy? Haha.
