What's the difference and what should I do? I'm around 20.

Take it as a compliment. It is what it is.

Can you give me afew examples of how you were told "cute" and tone of the conversation?

I don't know too many girls, let alone, women, who will come right out and say to a guy "You're HOT" to his face.

It means you're sweet and adorable but not " hot " enough to bed. I'm guessing they most likely prefer to friend you than straightout ask you to go out with them.

you dont make em jizz in their pants the first time they see you. usually cute people are people you want to talk to and get to know. hot people are usually people you jsut want to bone to say you did and show off. thats either good or bad depending on what you want. and you cant change it without a complete personality change and/or wardrobe change and/or face makeover.

Talking to a girl on MSN and she says I'm cute. I'm just wondering if cute is just as good as hot with respect to getting dates. Also, does being cute imply looking like a kid?

Hot and cute are interchangable- just words, and nothing to stress over.

Have you 'met' her in real life? Or is this someone you met online but haven't met face to face?

Don't read anything into it. Yet. Especially since the conversation took place online.

Yeah we know each other in real life through classes and projects. We were talking about relationships (in general, not between us two). She said I'll get a lot of girls because I look cute.

So what's the big deal? She's saying you're cute, it's an opinion then.

It's the same difference to me, a positive compliment either way- just with different words. And no, she doesn't mean it as in you look like a kid.

Cute is a good thing. It means attractive. I don't see women using "hot" to mean appealing too much--not like dudes.

Well, if you are 20, you ARE cute - and will be - for another 10 years .

But don't worry, there are plenty of girls that'll give good ol' cuddle bunny a hand job.

Cute = a few extra pounds OR on the short side

It depends what you have that may be attractive to the opposite sex. If you have a more youthful face and dress conservatively, then women will call you cute - but if you're ripped underneath the clothes and the woman catches you with your shirt off, that will change...

If you go on a friendly coffee date with good conversation, she will probably think you are cute. If you go salsa dancing, spin her around, brush up against her and make her look awesome, she will want to make babies...

the more intimate the contact, the hotter you will get with her.

My boyfriend is cute, he has the most adorable smile. I used that word to describe him before he was my bf. He's still cute. And he's damn hot too. :bunny:

It's just a word. And really, it could be worse. She could have called you ugly. :p

I call my boyfriend cute all the time, and rarely do I refer to him as being hot. A cute guy is a guy I would love to date and a hot guy is a guy I'd love to have sex with and nothing more. That's the difference to me.

Posted

In my interpretation, hot is only used for guys that could be models. In other words only 10% or less of guys are hot.

Being called cute is not a bad second.

I don't know what the distinction is, but I have been called cute heaps more than hot. The majority of girls that I speak to say there aren't many (if any) hot guys around, so I guess cute must be pretty alright. Take it as a compliment.

I'll always get called cute and it hasnt affected my chances in the dating game, it's only my bitterness, anger and frustration that has let me down.

Didn't realize you thought that about me...
