Ummm.... If you "edit" the album itself, you can make that particular album private. Under profile privacy, there's also a drop down menu to make ALL albums private.

Wow, I am envious - it takes me ages to get mine to grow that long. In fact I don't think I have ever managed it much past shoulder length.
