noirx Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I seem to be running into a lot of women lately that seem the need to "fish". "Fishing" in the sense that (1) they ask a question when they really mean something else or (2) asking a question that they already have a perceived answer to and then get pissed when you tell them what they don't want to hear. I find it to be extremely cowardly, not to mention a huge turn off. Once you're past the age of 18, I don't see the sense in not being an adult and asking a question directly... I'm not saying it is exclusive to women. I've seen guys I work with do it, too; I have zero respect for them. I just don't understand the point of it...?
RedRussian Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 It's easy, guys at work are gay so they are fishing to see if you are, and girls think your gay so they are fishing to see if you not. Next Thread?
RedRussian Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Maybe because you have no sense of humor....and I'm not fishing
Author noirx Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 @RedRussian - I have a wicked sense of humor. Oh, I see what you're saying now...your post wasn't related to my thread at all.
Sivok Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 attractive girls get hit on by so many guys that the 'fishing' or 'tests' become second nature. nothing more to it really. it's their way of weeding out
phineas Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Women do this to me all the time & I let them know I know their doing it by being as evasive as possible, giving ludicrus answers or just plain changing the subject to something completly off the wall. I make it so obvious that they figure out I figured out what their doing, call me an ass, sometimes slap my arm & walk away in a huff. But, they keep coming back to talk to again me so go figure.
phineas Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Almost all women fish for compliments YES! and it's always on their looks. I do complement women. I complement them on anything & everything but their looks.
