I don't think the majority of women think about things in terms of "locking you out of any kind of sexual encounters".

Yeah they do. Women see sex as a type of reward to men.... Women don't need sex, women don't even like sex, women just use sex as a way of controlling men.

If this is the type of women you attract, I can only wonder why.

I'm fairly certain I remember Mr Mulder saying in another thread that he'd never had a relationship with a woman. Men who've never been in relationships with women are, of course, experts on what it's like to be in relationships with us.

Ah. Well I'm sure he's very much in favour of paying for sex then.

Not true, women have just as strong an innate sex drive as men. Most women DO have more to loose if they have sex with someone than a mane does. Its women who take the medical risks of being pregnant and its women who's lives are severely curtailed if they have to raise children, especially alone.

Oh, and I'm a woman and like sex just fine. There are times when I am between BFs and no FWBs are around that I get down right nutty wanting sex. I still wouldn't have sex with just anyone.

Some of my friends have been with prostitutes, it has never appealed to me. I have been inside a brothel before and the women were tasteless, they looked full with disease and the atmosphere was so bad I could taste clamidia from the walls. My friend wouldn't go in a lone, so being the good friend I went in with him but I waited outside while he had sex with her.

My friends decided to play it off as they wanted the experience but a man must be desparate if he has to pay for sex.

Prostitution is legal, regulated and taxed here in CH. We recently had a bit of bad press because we had/have prostitutes working as young as 16. Many of the women are students, while others are on visas from E. Europe, Brasil, and certain parts of Asia. From what I've seen, a lot of men see visiting a brothel as a right of passage or something to do on a crazy stag night, maybe. Not my cup of tea, though.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that women hold some kind of power over men, albeit they probably control their regular customers financially and sexually to a point. The legality of prostitution, like drugs use, is based on what a society is willing to tolerate and how close it is to re-election time for certain politicians. Regulate them properly and everyone will benefit.

I have a right to be bitter, angry, frustrated, depressed etc.

You may not be able to help feeling a certain emotions, but that doesn't mean you have a "right" to them. That's just self-indulgence. Feeling frustrated by rejection is one thing, carrying around a seething hostility towards half the human race is soemthing else.

OP, spend a month in Mumbai, where there are rumored to be over 100,000 sex workers and accepting money for sex is quite legal. See how that goes for you and how you like the social dynamic there. Look at all aspects of it, both inside and outside the lives of the sex workers. Great research. Get started today :)

Another way of looking at it:

You don't pay the prostitute for sex, you pay her to leave.

That's not a whole lot different from picking up a slut at the club and paying for a cab to take her home in the morning so you don't have to see or hear from her again.

Yup. Like the guy I used for a time several years ago who wouldn't stop bothering me! I had to change my phone number and threaten him with police action.

My friend told me that last night he was walking home from the bar when he saw a woman in the shadows of a building.

"Evening," he said. She responded, "Twenty bucks."

He'd never been with a hooker before, so he decided what the heck, it's only twenty bucks.

They were going at it for a minute up against the wall when all of a sudden a light flashed on them.

It was a police officer.

"What's going on here, people?" asked the officer.

"I'm making love to my wife," my friend answered indignantly.

Oh, I'm sorry," said the cop, "I didn't know."

"Well," said my friend, "neither did I until you shined that light in her face."
