The song is called "FARTHER away" .. but whoever made the lyrics mistyped it and made it say "father away".. which I suppose is fitting for many here as well.. lol.

**Note** Just because I post songs that appear sad, or angry does not mean I am feeling that way.. they are just songs that I have found that seem to fit a lot of affair relationships. (and I probably felt that way at one time or another.)

Yeah right. Just kidding!!! I agree. I love these songs and the ones I posted don't necessarily reflect my feelings expect "You're my thrill" is how I feel about my H. Awww... gag

I always like these threads. It was in a past one where I first heard of Sugarland's Stay (English so not really connected to country music) which blew me away with poignancy and had me in floods. In the last I posted the songs I have been touched by in connection to my affair experience:

Last Request by Paulo Nutini

and Gravity by Sarah Barrielles

I listened to these songs during the affair, a time when I thought I had hope. But, looking back at them I can see that I needed release then and deep down knew the situation was toxic.

There's so much comfort to be found in music, lyrics and poetry. (Love the ee cummings poem Seren.)

Not sure they all have to be downer songs (not that they were). The last one I posted was a bit of a downer (Annie Lennox) but knew it was how I'd feel when things ended.

But this one is my Happy Song when I think of the A.

Plus the lead singer is just pretty dang cute!!

I love that song! Everytime I hear it I can't help but dance. :bunny:

Here is one about reclaiming the driver's seat in your own life. Pretty apt for this board I think.

And Incubus is awsome in concert. *smile*
