VertexSquared Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I had extremely good luck on e-Harmony... you just need to know how to make your profile work for you, and you also need to know how to screen the profiles of others.
Sivok Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 (edited) In the past year I've dated 5 girls from PoF and 2 from OkCupid. OkCupid is flashier, but I've had more luck with PoF. Edited June 3, 2010 by Sivok
Author Serenitynow Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Our date went perfect. It was an instant connection. It was like we really knew eachother for years. Neither of us were nervous or shy...I've never had that kind of connection with anyone I've dated, let alone someone on Plenty of Fish!! I I had a date like that recently, phone and in person was amazing. At the end of the date, she said she would love to do it again, and to call her. 2 days later she deleted her profile from the site, and disappeared. I think she was cheating. I had extremely good luck on e-Harmony. I tried E-harmony. I made a profile, and then its supposed to find matches for you. It came back saying "no matches found". So I generalized everything on my profile (which is pointless because they preach about how they can find your special person) and it still came back with no matches story of mt life, obviously the computer didnt want me to waste my time.
sagetalk Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Thats because I want a relationship, for how many months am I supposed to drive back and forth for hours to see her ? You are a typical guy that likes the distance because that allows you freedom for more hookups. Most people that enjoy long distance relationships are in it just for the sex but the long distance gives them the excuse to fend off any normal relationship. Hey, it's your call. Three hours isn't that bad if you see her once a week on the weekends. If you have to see her every single day, then yes it's a bad idea. Why is a long distance relationship not normal? It's just distance, there are still two people who like seeing each other.
Author Serenitynow Posted June 4, 2010 Author Posted June 4, 2010 Why is a long distance relationship not normal?I understand it works for some people. they end up moving and getting married, but thats a long shot. I feel LDR's are just to fill a void. usually a sexual void. If I have to drive 5- 6 hours round trip, how much time does that leave for us to hang out ? it becomes mostly just a F buddy situation. Which again most people enjoy that sex with no strings attached. They just "pretend" its a normal relationship. If I want to watch a DVD with her and just relax on the couch, do I really want to drive 5 hours or more to hang out for a few hours ? LDR's are mostly for people that want a part time relationship. OR an option for getting laid when nothing local is going on.
USMCHokie Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 In the past year I've dated 5 girls from PoF and 2 from OkCupid. OkCupid is flashier, but I've had more luck with PoF. I actually like all the flash of OkCupid. It makes it significantly easier to figure out who would actually be interested and more likely to respond to your messages.
Sith Apprentice Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 What did you expect when you fish in a septic tank? I'm on Plenty of Whales. It's mostly elephants, lamas, and single mama's. I don't message women because I have better things to do than take attitude from some 5 that I wouldn't give the time of day to if I saw her in the street. the site allows for 5 & 6's to be picky because there's like a 10 to 1 ratio of men to women. These are the same women who would be all over my jock and following me around like a lost puppy after a 2 minute convo. in the bar, but become pedestal princesses online. However, as of late, I've noticed a surge in female profiles on POF. I believe that the economy, AND the f'd up social bassackwards situation we all find ourselves in is responsible. Women are logging on to come home to pappa, but I ain't payin for *****. They can ****in forget that. I'm getting messaged now whereas I used to never get solicited. Sure most of them fat or older, desperate and there seems to be a never-ending pool of new women to come along, ones I've never seen. Basically I've gotten a lot more attention from attractive women in real life then I've gotten from less attractive women online. The internet is a place where women who don't get attention in real life can go to boost their egos in cyber fantasy land. That is why internet dating is usually a waste of time, and real life is much better. The other thing is in real life you have more of a chance to make a pitch. On the internet a lot of them won't even respond.

andyclark Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Every one deserves love and to be loved. And to be loved one need patner so don't be single, find your patner and get ready to mingle on a date.
juan1212 Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Ive only used pof and its not bad. I met my current gf there so I cant complain. Get ready for flaking and crazy women before you meet the right one if you do. Once I decided to stop messaging women and let them come to me did it work out. I say go for it, it def cant hurt.
