Engadget Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 It's something I noticed after breaking up with the ex of six years, and I think part of it has to do with my flirty nature with most every woman. My friends even are pointing it out, and one said "Don't you dare pull that with my girlfriend" and I had to assure him I wouldn't, despite getting looks from her the other night. Is it just because I show them attention, even in a harmless manner?
brainygirl Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Weird, are they all unhappy in their relationships? It could be that you are a flirt and women may reflect that playful back and forth but not really intend to "hit on" you. Just participate in banter?

brainygirl Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Some do just flirt back, but some take it farther. I dunno what to tell you, except that there are people out there with no sense of boundaries, I feel bad for the people they date.
skydiveaddict Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Much older women come onto me a lot. probably your tattos, Devil Dog
USMCHokie Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 But seriously though...it might be due to a slightly different mindset when you're interacting with taken women...there's no fear of rejection, no worry of what they might think of you, and no thought of consequence...because they're already taken, so you are just brimming with confident ol' you...and it seems that confident ol' you is a pretty good catch, so girls pick up on that...and they will react accordingly...

True enough, it went strange with one girl. I met her and her boyfriend with a friend at a bar, and she was cool with me. The other night we had a raging party and she got hammered, and she TORE into me. She called me every name in the book and I laughed because it was the second time I met her. Then she drunkenly apologized, saying she didn't mean it.

Is it just because I show them attention, even in a harmless manner? I think part of it is that men today aren't able to handle their women. What I mean is that they allow their girlfriends or wives to do what is best described as inappropriate behavior, like flirting with other guys for attention or to cause jealousy, or to manipulate their bf/husbands, and guys today are too emasculated by society to do anything about it and/or fear the women dumping them for greener pastures. And the fear of being sent packing is a valid one with how little there is today incentivizing women to stay in what would amount to rocky relationships when there's all sorts of benefits to ending it (thinking along the lines of no-fault divorce). Anyway, guys, handle your business, don't put up with bad behavior, and start taking your balls out of their purse!
