Actually, BL, I think you made a mistake by assuming, incorrectly, that it was Eve who made the comment about assumptions. Actually it was I who said it, in response to cinnamon's multiple comments about our children being one beat away from pregnancy, drugs, or alcohol. :)

We are all in love with the word "actually"....Wrong assumption again, Turnera. I was referring to a completely different thread, about being childfree which Eve responded to.

Turnera.. you can respond to posts by Blacklovely if you want to but personally I wouldnt bother. clearly this is an individual with problems far greater than a message board can manage.

Dont get dragged into her personality disordered nonsense. Keep in mind the positive flow you have presented here.

Thanks for your input. :)

Take care,

I'm not. :)

I usually try a couple times and if it keeps coming, I just bow out.

DD19 didn't pass the math on her THEA last year and couldn't take math without remedial (which they didn't offer at her college!), so she decided she could just review this summer and retake the test rather than take a summer course; I had her take a practice THEA test yesterday, and she couldn't even get through it! So now she's scrambling to catch up, cos she's been goofing off the last month, only doing a few pages a day.

I feel for her because maths tests arent easy..

I bet she just wants to relax now..

What are you going to do? Can you get a Tutor?

I just looked up tutors yesterday and we discussed them. I told her to sit down this weekend and figure out what her weak areas are (per her last THEA), and when I contact the tutor we will start with those areas. She's only 3 points shy of passing the math section, so she doesn't have that much work to do.

I bet she is stressed about this.. mainly because it keeps coming back into view!

I dont understand the points system you are speaking about as I live elsewhere but three points does not sound like much at all. She will be able to do this this time around. Keep positive. :) At least you know what is going on so that you can help. :)

My daughter didnt go back to London the other day. I have her until Monday now.. :)

She has been talking about visiting NY and maybe doing some sort of student exchange to go to a University there for her last year/work experience.. she has a thing for NY... always has done. I am not sure about that but obviously will support her.

Take care,

Eve xx

The original essence of this thread cannot ever be disrupted because it is being lived in the real world. I am beyond happy to be able to say this and for it to be true. Thats all that matters.

Yes, my daughter is happy and on the road to success!

However, I would be grateful if this thread could be closed as it is being used as an emotional outlet other than its intended purpose.

:)

Cheers,

Take care,

Eve xx
