unluckydater Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 As a new girl on this website i thought i would try to get to know everyone a little better and get everyone to share funny stories with me - to reassure me that im not the only one that experiences terrible first dates and that maybe there is hope for me after all!!! I'm a serial unlucky dater... i've been so nervous i threw up on a first date - in front of the guy, i've cried, i've hated them, i had a minor car accident, i got their name wrong, they had an unknown girlfriend....the list goes on. Please share your stories too so we can all have a smile and remember the funny things about dating too....!

malala7 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Oh I have been in some hilarious first dates. The worst or perhaps funniest one happened over a year ago, when my on and off boyfriend was off LOL. This guy I met at a life drawing marathon offered me a ride home so I didn't have to take the train. It was 3 in the morning in NYC and I was tired and had class the next day so I said what the heck. He turned out to be a 'nice' guy and we exchanged numbers. He texted me here and there but I wasn't interested. This guy was persistent, and I accepted to go out with him one time. We went out to eat and had a blast, telling stories and having a good ol time. The restaurant was closing so we were going to a bar a few blocks away. As we walked to the place, a man on the other side of the street was walking on the opposite direction. When he saw us he started waving at him and my date got all nervous. The guy crossed the street to say hi, and after a hand shake the first question that came out of his mouth was 'how is your WIFE doing?' My date anwered 'She is doing great, we just moved to Rego Park blah blah'. The conversation continued for a few minutes and I just stood there listening to the pair catching up. I could have walked away, but I really wanted to hear what he had to say about his wife. Turns out he was married but didn't love her and couldn't tell her because her family was very strict and were helping him start his own bussines. At least that's his side of the story. I didn't stick around to find out more, but he continued trying to go out again.
crimsonmike Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I've only had two. One was more irritating than bad. Girl just texted her friends who were at a bar the whole time we were hanging out. I finnally asked her where they were and if she wanted me to drop her off there or at her house cause I was out. Now the other one is a true disaster. Picked this chic up on a blind date. She lived WAY out in the sticks. It was like an hour ride to anywhere. So we leave and things are goin fine. We get to dinner and she starts givin me WAY too much info. All about family problems, abusive brother in law, blah, blah, blah. Then she starts in on how she really wants to get married ASAP and is scared she may never have kids. Keep in mind, I've known this chic about an hour and a half at this point. Then, she tells me about her anxiety disorder and how she has to take prozac daily for it. I've got an hour drive back to get her out my truck. I'm just thinkin...please God let me get her back to her house before she goes psycho on me. Dropped her off and bailed. She called me for like a week after that, even though I told her I wasn't interested. Dude who set me up is still on my s-list. Last blind date I went on and will remain so.

malala7 Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Oh, I have been the crazy one as well. One 2nd date I had too much to drink and started crying over my dog and my ex boyfriend. The guy drove me home and I passed out on his car. He called again but I was way too embarrassed. On a 3rd date I met the guy and his friends, one of his 'friends' (random guy who happened to be sitting next to the group) starts asking me a million and one questions and I honestly thougt he was just being nice. The guy I had been seeing starts hinting I should come to him but I kept ignoring him. I realiced what an idiot I was when the 'friend' asked 'Can I get your number or is that guy your boyfriend?' What? I know ridiculous

Ihavenoidea Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Ya like I said most dates are awesome and we spend usully most of the day together as well as the evening. Like we will go to the zoo or a ball game, then after Ill ask if they want to get something to eat, if they say yes I assume they want a free dinner or they might be having a good time. My last 3 first dates all ended with a kiss goodnight and many times the woman keeping me there, i usually just do a quick kiss. Yet 2 fell off the planet and 1 said she was too busy but declined my Facebook request. I'm like why dont you just say you arent interested. So the dates rock but apparently not to all my dates who seem inclined to have a free dinner and kiss me goodnight lol
rewe4reel Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 On one of my first dates with this certain girl in grad school, she had just finished a tough exam, so we went out to a bar/restaurant. She started knocking back scotches pretty quickly. So we walked over back to my place and she just completely hurled all over herself, her shoes, me, everything. She was absolutely sh*t-faced drunk. So we got her clothes off and into the bathtub to try to get her cleaned up. She turns and looks at me while she's sitting there in the tub, with puke-encrusted hair, mascara running down her face looking like something out of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show," and says with the most absolutely venomous hateful tone possible: "I HATE you!!!" Needless to say, I married her.

I usually kiss on the second or third date to make sure things don't get physical before I feel a connection. I wil accept dinner and offer to pay or split, specially if I don't like you. Finishing the night with a hand shake will send the right message. Right?

Another crazy bitch burned down her parents house! Puerto rican girl, pretty face. ***** lied about her picture, I was expecting a curvy hot body, not a giant belly...She wouldn't give up the *****. I'm not going to wait for a fat *****. Another felt like a slut after kissing. My guess was she was a big time slut in college. I was right. She spit me her contract, no sex until in an exclusive relationship and after 1 month. I laughed and said goodbye.
