Disillusioned Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 A couple of years ago, I bought some of those old panel-mount meters, the thick ones made out of black Bakelite plastic, at a swap meet for a couple of bucks, then printed up replacement faces for them that read "God-O-Meter", and I put them back together and mounted them in attractive wooden boxes. I made 3 of them. They looked like something made in a factory. My buddy thought this was so hilarious that I let him borrow one... and he showed it to a rabbi, who liked it so much he offered to buy it from him (my buddy is Catholic... don't ask me). My next sardonic religious gewgaw is going to be a little 4-inch aluminum satellite dish attached to a strap, which will fit around my head like a bandanna... it will have a short length of cable connected to the little dish, and I'll stick the other end of the cable in my ear. Then I'll walk around and tell people it's a prayer antenna and see how many of them fall for it.
