jkl300 Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 i started hanging out with a friend of a friend occasionally.somewhere along the line we started to go out on dates more frequently, like twice a week, and i'd stay over his house, just making out.however, we started having sex about a three weeks ago and ever since we have spent about five nights a week together.we go out on dates or go out with friends most of those, although occasionally we will stay in n watch a movie or meet up late night after we have been out separately.when we are with his friends or mine he is often very pda. i am a little confused about our status, because things seemed to kick into gear once things got physical, whereas we weren't really dating before. the other day my girl friend asked him 'why are you two not dating?' he responded 'we are dating'. she said something along the lines of 'but why are you not like together?' he said 'well she knows i'm not having sex with anyone else' and she said 'but why are you not like official?' to which we both got a little embarrassed and didn't want to say anything either way.later when she left, he told me 'you're my girl.but we don't have to broadcast it'. i'm a little unclear what this means.i don't want to bring up 'the talk' so soon if i don't have to, because right now i'm not sure whether i want things to be serious or not.however, i don't want to hurt him by assuming we aren't together when he assumes we are. I also don't want to just date him if hes maybe dating other people. opinions? what i am getting from this is that he wants to be sexually exclusive but is not sure if he wants me to be his girlfriend. i'm not sure if this is like a stepping stone to see how things go or?

Im in a similar situation but have worked out that my guy sees me as his girlfriend but we are not up to "in a relationship" fb status level yet? He calls me his girl as well and callls himself my boy. So maybe he does think of you as his gf.....you guys sound like you are a couple especially if you go out together and are affectionate in public.
