Feel free to cover your head with a blanket if it offends, though Biological fact, I have to poop and pee, its a need, when it needs to be completed you can't really put it off, but I don't just drop my pants and pee on the floor. There are alternate ways to breast feed a baby in public, even just taking the time to go to your car and do it is better. I don't see why thats such an inconvenience to people.

Studies show that men subconsciously respond to menstrating women more then women aren't menstrating. So it's so strange to me that society has an issue with it. Link? I've heard this about ovulating women, but not about menstruating women. I'd be interested in reading about that. Avoiding sex during menstruation is a practice rooted deeply in society--back to the good 'ole Red Tent. It can be a symptom of disgust, or a symptom of the deepest respect (or anything in between)--depending on the man. Having accidently cut/punctured and done aweful things to myself over the years where there was blood everywhere I have no desire to engage in an activity where there is blood involved. And that includes sex. So you cant have sex for 5-6 days, get over it. Its not that long. so now we are equalling a vagina to an open wound? Wow. I love how guys expect women to do all kinds of crazy things...eat their sperm..take it up the ass..and that's all good but a little blood from menstrating is "icky". We really got bleeped up views in this society. Anal sex is okay..vaginal sex while on your period is bad? Something is so very wrong here. I get the impression we are telling women they are "dirty" for something related to fertility. There seems to be a real rejection of the the real female body. Like men rather buy the fantasy of a woman's body, the one that never gets messy. I think the part of hte article where the writer says: "Understanding this, and accepting that the vagina is part of the female reproductive system and not just a sterile hole for your dick, is an important step toward becoming a man worthy of ****ing", sums it up. Again, it's okay to see all kinds of women getting a dick up their ass. That's not very sanitary but alot of men sure do like it. Maybe the disclaimer was misguided. But I can thankfully say he's not hypocritical about the period/anal thing though. In talking to my SO, it had nothing to do with acceptance of the female body. It'd depend on how heavy it is and how long you leave it in, but at the very least it'll curb the mess by a lot. There's no harm in trying it out and seeing if it'll be sufficient for you.

First off, I am male, 33, and I have been married for almost four years. But I also have to agree that I am not fond of sex when my wife is menstruating. I consider myself extremely progressive and also very sensitive about many things, female or otherwise. As Jersey Shortie stated, it is amazing that men can like anal and "swallowing" but not women on their period. I am sorry ladies, I am not one of them. For ANY of the above. There can be a hundred of reasons why the original poster's significant other does not like sex on menstruation. Men, mature or not, understand it is a natural process. However, there are many natural processes that do not exactly put us in the mood. Periods can be one of them. It could be the sight, the idea, the smell, the messiness. Anyway you look at it, a little understanding may be nice from our perspective. We are just not fond of it. And that is saying something since most guys need VERY little to want some. hehe... (And it isn't like the good men aren't understanding about some of our wants going unheeded.) And btw, side note, men find menstruation arousing subconsciously because of the pheromones that are produced shortly before and during ovulation. In fact, it KILLS me that my wife's "scent" is the best when I cannot have her. (as we are trying not to conceive currently.) Lastly, yes, breast-feeding is completely natural. However, shouldn't it be a bit private? I absolutely understand the need to feed a baby but not everyone should be ogling Mommy and Baby while it happens.

The young women with the big perky breast usually meant healthier breeding, better feeding of said children, and more potential offspring. Biology has made breasts sexy and attractive, society has just followed suit. It has always been built into our instincts. Don't get me wrong, people (men AND women) have taken the idea to the Nth degree but it is based in biology. Now we as a civilized people have to try and resist some of the more profane but it really is a part of our make-up. And don't take my word on it, google it. (And for the girls not wanting to breast feed, that is just the mentality of an immature female. Hopefully by the time they are of their actual procreating age, they would move past that.)

Sorry, but I almost gagged on that last sentence. Part of it had to do with me eating some steak. For me, I used to find a woman's period quite gross and frankly with my ex, I never went near when she was having her period because of the cramps she would get. Plus, I was also pretty immature when I was dating her. I didn't know quite as much as I do now and also was not as open about sexual things with her as I am my current GF. My current GF has a pretty high sex drive when she isn't stressed out about stuff, so we have had pretty regular sex in the past. We had sex one time when she was on her period and she bled a little on the floor and I think it grossed her out more than me (condom). I didn't really mind at all and even helped her clean up the floor spot. I do say now that I am more mature about these things than I was in the past. Also, I view it as a "I accept ALL of you in any state" statement. She refuses that I go down on her when she's on her period (honestly can't say I want to though) and she used to refuse to let me go down on her when she hadn't had a shower yet because she was afraid of me being grossed out (which I wasn't!) and just to show her up, I made her cum without her having taken a shower. The biology claims are utter rubbish. There is nothing in human biology that says that bone thin girls with big fake breasts make better babies. It is a cultural thing not a biological thing. Biology probably favors big wide hips, round bellies, and any kind of breasts women with enough meat on them to survive and also feed the babies. You know, the bodies you used to see in the national geographic magazines.
