CLC2008 Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Well, honey, you're in luck! Loads of women for you! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-491668/The-ladettes-glorify-shameful-drunken-antics-Facebook.html ................................
Rorschach Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 yes! my absolute biggest pet peeve is people who judge someone's personality/intelligence based simply on how they look. I'm forced to not judge people, due to my own mannerisms/style I get some of the biggest strangest assumptions about me. So it wouldn't be right of me to judge others when I am always being judged myself.
2sunny Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 yes! my absolute biggest pet peeve is people who judge someone's personality/intelligence based simply on how they look. why? if my look represents the core of who i am - and i don't pretend about anything - then why would i have a problem with this - or even be irritated by it? what are YOU misrepresenting about yourself that others misinterpret? ask yourself - check yourself - then adjust what MAY be necessary. i ask - what am i - and what do i reveal to the world around me? i intend to reveal what is true and correct about myself. it makes life so uncomplicated!

Here is an example of why assuming is bad. I love my music, 60s, 70s, 80s, all good (I don't like newer stuff but that is neither here nor there), I'm very musically inclined, I have a decent singing voice, I play guitar, piano, sax, flute, and I'm learning the violin. I 'feel' music in the way other people might feel the wind. Its a flow. When I listen to my music (which is often) I honestly can't help but move with it, at best I just tap my foot with the rythm but 99% of the time I out and out lip synch, head bang, and play air guitar, anybody who watched me would probably assume I was listening to some crazy hard death metal, and was a very strange person. Some people may even be scared of me or assume I wasn't quite right in the head. The truth of the matter is I can and do headbang to the beatles and am a very mild mannered friendly normal person. so assuming=bad

Rorschach Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 there is EVERYTHING right about someone who can "feel" the music. Oh I know, but from an outsiders perspective headbaning, lip syncing and air guitar don't neccasarily spell out somebody who 'feels the music' but more somebody who is strange and should be avoided.
legallyblonde289 Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 heres an example of what im talking about, ill use myself as an example: i just graduated law school, but when i started people tended to assume that i was not intelligent because i have blond hair and big boobs (until of course i started beating them on exams). i actually had my trial professor tell me in front of the entire class that i have to be "extra bitchy" during cross examination because im "blond and cute" and if i dont no one will take me seriously. that's the kind of assuming personality/intelligence based on appearance i'm talking about, and i don't really think that's fair. i don't think i'm misrepresenting myself.

Why on earth would you beat your boobs on your law school exams? Did you get extra credit or something? Wasn't this distracting to the other students?

SomewhatExperienced Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Depends on how groomed in well groomed. I'm not that into gross bohemian kinda girls that don't bathe, but I'm not at all interested in girls who look ready for a photo shoot 24/7. I like the kinda girl who is clean, wears minimal makeup and is laid back (jeans + t-shirt) in style. The super made up ones just seem so superficial.
Woggle Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 I like it when they look good both ways. My wife looks like a million bucks when she leaves in the morning but on our days off she can hang around the house in sweats and a t shirt and still look great.
