You don't sound like a troll, you just sound like a guy who has no idea about dating from the female perspective except when they reject you. Which leads you to form your "truths" that just sound more "bitter rejected guy" than "truth"

I agree; bitter rejected guy is probably more accurate than troll.

And Hokie, that thread was so full of nonsense it was deleted. The new one about nice guys getting the girl contradicts that directly, and several people are agreeing with it - how can nice guys getting the short end of the stick be a truth?

I'm gonna call his bluff

Guy must be 1) employed and self sufficeint, as in has own place to live and owns car that runs without major mechanical issues

2) must be intelligent, able to carry on a conversation without refering to online role playing games.

3) Must be responsible, bills paid on time, child support if applicable current.

4) must not hate women, or bad mouth his ex

5) must not be morbidly obese

6) must be a bit of a nerd, because I can't carry on a convesation without a doctor who or other scifi reference.

7) must be from the midwest

8) must not be ultra conservative, or ultra Christian,

and

9) must not be in his late 20s and have never been in a relationship before.

think you can find me one of those to meet?

Yep, easily, two things though.

Give me a city instead of just "midwest", thats too broad and I plan to get you a date. Also post or PM me with your stats, pics are a plus but not required.

shenanigans.

OF COURSE being in a relationship is a choice. I could "choose" to be in a relationship with some joe-shmoe but that doesn't mean I will love him.

I do agree that most single ladies can easily get a date but that certainly doesn't equal a relationship.

When we say standards, we mean chemistry. Certainly a person's age, looks, occupation, etc can all be FACTORS, but that doesn't guarantee compatibility!

Smart, yes, but you're still horribly misguided in your conclusion and are falling victim to an extreme case of confirmation bias.

1) can't figure out how to PM

2) actually happen to be busy this weekend

3) do I really want to give a random internet crazy my location?

4) I am perfectly capable of scrounging online profiles, and am honestly not interested in a set up with some one you don't know when i don't even know you.

True. But still funny, in truth, I hate "set-up" dates. They are always painful.

Especially if a friend wants to set you up with another friend. And then, when things go sour... the drama begins...

I tend to agree that there is somebody for everybody.

However, some people have great obstacles to overcome in their pursuit. And trying to do that can bring situations that make then consider it better to stop trying than ever going through something similar again.

And it isn't limited to a gender.

I remember on the train about a week ago, this girl got on. She had an average figure and was of average height. In fact just about everything about her was fairly average.

So why did I notice her?

She was covered COVERED, face, neck, even her forearms with really angry looking acne. I assume elsewhere but her clothes, much heavier than the weather called for, covered the rest of her. She scurried in the car and scurried to a bench with her head down. Kept her head down most of the ride except for a couple times to see if anyone was looking at her in disgust.

I thought to myself "wow, how hard her life must be for her to carry herself so shamed manner". I felt really bad for her.

I bet she'd have a thing or two to say about your claim OpenGL.

Yeah, just because the common friend likes both, doesn't mean they will like each other.

Worst case: Dated and eventually broke up with a childhood friend's cousin. Not pretty.

Why does this come to a shock to anyone that a girl is single because of her own choice, and a guy is single because he doesn't go out and meet girls?

Girls do have the final word on dating, but if no one is approaching them or the only guys who show them interest are luke-warm about it, they are going to be as frustrated as all the "woe is me" guys on this site.

Its funny that all these supposed average guys all insist that they will only approach, hit on, "hot" women. And yet, they admit that while they are alright, they aren't "hot". Funny isn't it?

Girls have the final say? Not where I live they don't.. at least ive consoled as many dumped girls as I have guys.. if not more.

1) Upper right hand corner

2) Ok, then why even respond?

3) All I needed was your city, or the general area, or a nearby city, I don't need your address obviously

4) So much for calling my bluff? It sounds like I actually called your bluff

Just as a reminded...

I'm gonna call his bluff

Not really

Please find a single post where I or any other guy has said they will only approach and hit on hot women.

Not true. I want a 'girl-next-door'... my laundry list is just short:

1. Shy

2. Sporty (probably did some sports in high-school or college and is still very active)

3. Has a nice face and incredible, sparkly eyes.

I don't want a "hot" girl that wears ton of make-up and trendy designer clothes...
