i'm having the worst time getting thru the aches and pains

with my new exercise regimen and whole wanting to be more active

thing.

if i run one day, i'm so sore the next day. my knees ache me on a daily basis in my early 30's...mayyybe it's from the fact that i sit a lot for

computer work/data entry.

Anyway, I'm trying to get thru the feeling like crap part of this because

so far, i'm getting discouraged. I don't even try and push hard, just normal

jogging or stretching, crunches, lifts, etc.

Mind you, i've never been much of an exerciser but i've never been

terribly overweight, have a fairly skinny frame.

Yes, it does eventually subside...give it a few weeks...

Reduce your effort level, exercise regularly, like every other day. Recovery time is as important as the exercise.

If running is hurting your knees, perhaps try getting fitted for proper shoes, or switching to an elliptical machine for lower impact.

The soreness will subside and the more frequently you exercise, the less it will happen.

The worst soreness happens when you over do it after too long of a lay off. That's when your muscles have enough residual strength to over-do it, cause the pain, but not enough recent exercise to absorb the damage.
