Confusedalways Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 So recently I was browsing match, and I don't have my own account. A guy really caught my eye, and I was debating messaging him. After getting the courage up I created an acct and went to do so- but of course free accounts can't message on match. Anyway, I was complaining about this to a good friend of mine and she was asking me simple questions. His likes and such, and lo and behold my friend's boyfriend and the guy played on the same soccer team together in college. She obviously inquired to her boyfriend about him and he basically said he's smart and nice and etc but haven't talked since college (~3 years ago). Can anyone think of a non creepy way of somehow approaching this situation? I find myself really wanting to speak to him [especially given the nice things my friend's boyfriend had to say about him] or am I totally chasing some sort of weird pipe dream?

Awww, you could be the ad-people for Match:love: why don't you just have your GF explain the situation to her boyfriend, and use her charms to make him give him a call- to catch up over a beer. then, naturally - the two of you come.
