I am having the worst day...

 

Although I don't want to work things out with my ex (even though we have discussed it several times), I feel so upset right now.

 

All I keep thinking about is how beautiful and nice his new girlfriend is. It makes me sick to think that I can't compare. I know I shouldn't sit here and wallow in my own self-pity but seriously, I just can't shake this feeling that somehow she has replaced me and is so much better than me.

 

Maybe it's because I want him to feel sorry that he lost me. He won't ever feel that way and it is breaking me...

Lots of people look great on the surface... but you never know how they are inside. Ditto with relationships. If your ex is how you said he is, either he will create problems between them sometime down the line, or hidden parts of her will.

OP, I feel exactly the same so i'm not in the best position to comfort you. Maybe i'm trying to comfort myself in the process. I just saw a girl today that my ex had been photographed with and I sank into misery and evy AND she wasn't even attractive. At least your emotions are rational. I would agree with the other poster. Maybe she is attractive but thats subjective anyway.

I guess you both are right. Beauty IS subjective. Besides, it is a matter of time before he starts letting his true colors shine. From what I know about her, she isn't exactly emotionally stable plus she is currently dating my ex, working things out with her ex, and spending a lot of time with a couple of other guys. So it's not looking like she is all that serious with my ex anyway....

 

Plus no sooner did I post my feelings, I got a text from my ex basically saying that he loves me and wants me to come over to his place tonight. She must not be doing too well if he is still calling me with these things...
