Her birthday is coming up

So I now have a girlfriend, and we are both each others firsts.

 

Her birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I'm not sure what I should do for it. We have not been together very long in the scheme of things, and we are still in the "lovey-dovey" stage of things. Does anyone have any suggestions for an idea that won't make her uncomfortable hopefully?

 

Also I'm not sure how to move things onto another level. All we have done is kiss and make out and I find it hard to tell if she wants me to go further or not. She is somewhat timid and shy. I was her first ever kiss. Not that I plan to just use her, but I wouldn't mind taking it to the next level sometime in the near future.

Rent her favorite movie, get her flowers or a silly stuffed animal (depending on what she likes) & make her dinner.

 

Spend alone time with her.

She liked monkeys so I got her an inexpensive ceramic monkey figurine & cooked her dinner & rented her favorite chick flick.

 

She loved it.

 

Why go all out on someone you just started dateing & don't know if their gonna be around next month?

Card, preferably if you can write an orginal short poem inside will get you some brownie points

 

if weather permits laying out and watching the stars would be a nice touch after dinner, or maybe a carriage ride around downtown. i dunno where you live but most big cities that i have been to usually has a horse drawn carriage ride around downtown.
