We all know that a woman's hair style has a large impact on her attractiveness, but what about a man's?

As important? Not important at all? Will you ladies notice a guy's hair right away? What type (short/long, straight/curly, colour) do you really get's your attention. Do you have to be able to play with it? Use of hair products?

Give any and all thoughts about men's hair.

A guy's hair is very important to me. I'm not attracted to bald/balding guys or guys with buzz cuts. I absolutely love a nice, thick head of hair.

Color: I think dark-haired guys are sooooo hot; dark brown/black is my favorite hair color on a guy. I also have a thing for redheads. I don't like blonde.

Length: If it's long enough to run my fingers through and pull in bed, but not beyond the shoulders, I'm good.

Texture: I like all textures. Guys with a bit of wave and/or curl in their hair are rather scrumptious to me.

I do love a guys hair

I'm not a blonde lover myself, I love dark thick hair too. Obviously men can't control their balding but at my age [22] I definitely prefer my men not balding-- but try not to hold it against them if they are.

Not a big fan of long hair, especially anything past below the ears. Generally I like it short, but some men can definitely rock the 'surfer hair'

I just love a guy with dark hair and light eyes!

Oooh yeah, some can. I briefly dated a guy who was like a slightly fuller-faced, younger Johnny Depp. Had the same dark, wavy, shoulder-length hair that was so shiny and deliciously soft, and smoldering eyes to match...swooooooon...

I like my hair, it's basically a short crew cut, probably half an inch on top, but a full inch or even inch and a half along the hairline in the front. I then comb this part straight up and push the tips of the hair forward slightly so it almost looks like a wave is cresting on my forehead.

I started combing it like that in highschool but I had to use all sorts of gel to get it to stay in the wave shape, eventually I got tired of the maitenence and shaved it all off (which I loved!), when I grew my hair back in 2-3 years later it naturally stays in the wave shape now, which is kinda weird but I love it.

I've gotten a couple compliments on my hair (I may not have much of a body right now but I put a decent amount of effort into my appearance, clothes, dress, skin care, nail care) so I figure if I had a nice body to go with it may impress the ladies somewhat?

yeah, lop-sided male pattern baldness here.

I just have them use #4 clippers all the way around.

OMG, just kill yourself already and be done with it! At least then we wont have to put up with your constant soft c*ck whining.

Back on topic, no hair is a dealbreaker for me. Bald men are foul.

My ex was going to be bald...I really don't find that too attractive. Sorry boys. :p

Gonna go against the grain here.... my partner is in his twenties and is balding. He used to have a thick head of curls which I loved running my hands through, but now he's got a close shave due to the excessive thinning... and it is SO HOT! Totally upped his sex appeal factor.

So I don't have a preference for any particular type of hair.... as long your haircut suits you, and is clean. Product is good but not too much.... nobody likes the wet greasy dandruffy look.

how bout afro hair?

Hmm I am going against the grain too and saying I don't like too much hair at all.

My boyfriend shaves his very close and I like it like that.

I will usually turn my head for a guy with a very close cropped cut.

The boy I have a crush on has short hair and I like that too....not really into super trendy cuts or that floppy 'rocker' hair. Ewww.

I ABHOR long hair also - like down to the ears and longer. EWWWWW again sorry!!

There is no point obsessing about whether women care about this or not. If you are losing your hair, you are losing your hair. Not much you can really do about it except have surgery or take the drugs which may impact your libido among other things.

When I was aviator training, the very first day they cut all our hair off. You learn to deal with it. Nobody every cared that we were almost bald.

Everyone has preferences in what they find attractive. I love a man with a full head of hair. Long enough for me to run my fingers through but probably not more than three inches long. Lazy men shave their heads, even when they have all follicles active and growing. Not an attractive look. I mean, really, how much more difficult is it to groom hair that is 1-1/2 inches long? Yet just that little bit can make a big difference in appearance. I don't fancy the convict or mental patient look, thank you very much.

Men, if you are losing your hair, buy Rogaine or the generic minoxidil at the first sign of loss. It keeps it from falling out any more. You just rub a little onto your scalp AM and PM and in about two months you will notice a difference. You have to keep using it until they invent something better. I've saved many a man from baldness!

Ok screw this, I'm dropping a few grand on a hair transplant to fix my hairline.

Also for the women who say they want a thick head of hair to run your hands through, what if you don't have straight hair? I can grow a thick head of hair (except norwood class 2 hairline loss), but I have black hair. Are we just assed out?

Geez. One day I'm gonna make a female version of OpenGL and troll on all the 'Guys, what would you like your date to wear?', 'Guys, do you prefer asses or breasts?' and 'Guys, what sort of body type do you find most attractive on a woman?' threads. Bet it'll be loads of fun!

On-topic: I prefer some hair to crew-cuts - the running fingers through part, as many others have mentioned. ;)

It's my theory that if openGL were to ever meet somebody as negative as he is a black hole would immediately rip into the universe and the earth would be sucked into a new dimension formed of negativity, self-loathing, and excuses.

I don't think this part is humanly possible. ;)
