Don'tWannabeAWannabe Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 ...would an 18 or 19 year old girl be willing to date a 23 year old guy? I heard from a few posters here that girls my age tend to seek out older, more established and successful men. Well, I'm not that old or wildly successful, but I have an actual career and making more than an average 18 year old college guy with a part-time job. Plus I'm old enough to get into clubs and bars (a lot have a 21+ minimum for guys, but 18+ minimum for girls.) That being said, would an 18 and 19 year old be willing to date a 23 year old? And where do you meet 18 and 19 year old girls?
Green Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 The questions here shock me some times. Young girls are like shooting fish in a barel, the younger they are the easier it is to get them. As a 23 year old you should have no problem impressing 18 or 19 year old girls and bedding them if you so please.

marsle85 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Yikes, your preoccupation with young girls makes me nervous. Why is this your goal?
electricity Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 What are you looking for, a casual hookup or a serious LTR? The main reason 23yo women look for older men is because women tend to be ready to settle down at a younger age than most men, and so to find a man at the same place they are, they generally have to look towards older men. If you're looking to settle down into an LTR, I would recommend against looking for 18/19yo college girls and instead show other young grads like yourself that you're responsible and ready to be serious. At that age, they're most likely still in college and not ready to settle down.
Author Don'tWannabeAWannabe Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Because like I said before in my other posts. 1) I've only dated older girls and want to know what it's like to date a younger girl. 2) A lot of 20-something girls are really catty and judgemental. 3) Because I'm 23, and it was a girl on here who admitted that girls prefer older men. Well, I'm not older than most 20-something girls, but I'm older than 18 or 19. So I'm wondering if that will work for me.
USMCHokie Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 For me, a girl that young definitely wouldn't be relationship material for anyone in their mid-20's...but to each his own...

I've noticed the complete opposite to be honest (and there was actually an article about it in The Atlantic this month) Most adult women are MORE open to casual sex than young girls. Young girls, just entering college and out of high-school, still have this idealized youthful goal of getting the perfect relationship; the "Boyfriend Story." They're expectations haven't been shattered by the "Hookup Culture" yet. Most young girls don't want casual sex, but settle for it because that's all they know once they enter college.

I'm not even concerned with the age difference, I find it rather minimal. I think it's correct assuming women (or girls)of 18 or 19 would be open and willing to date someone your age. I'm 20 and I would date anyone 27 or under... Word of advice, stick with 19+, 18 year olds can be in HS and that's rather iffy.
Green Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 okay' date=' so how many sorority freshmen did you bang last month?[/quote'] I have a girlfriend, I banged her last night with out a condom... It was a lot of fun. Yikes, your preoccupation with young girls makes me nervous. Why is this your goal? Because he is silly. He should just be asking himself "Do I find this girl attractive?" if the answer is yes he should approach her regaurdless of age... obviously he isn't going to find to many gilfs Because like I said before in my other posts. 1) I've only dated older girls and want to know what it's like to date a younger girl. 2) A lot of 20-something girls are really catty and judgemental. 3) Because I'm 23, and it was a girl on here who admitted that girls prefer older men. Dude they are really easy to get, but I doubt your even trying that hard... probably to afraid of rejection to be bold, confident and enjoy yourself. You have to go out there and dance with them, touch them... Kiss them. Don't expect them to chase you

Also reflective of my own story. I didn't lose my virginity well into college. Now, while I don't have casual sex- am much more open and willing to engage in sexual activity in general.

And this is where you'll fun into problems if you actually date and get serious with a girl that young...they'll become attached to you and consider you that idealized Taylor Swift Love Story...but they are not in the right place or time in their life to be in such a serious relationship, especially if they are going to college...after a while, the light bulb will go off in their head and they'll realize that life doesn't work that way...and it will just lead to a breakup where she'll want to 'find herself' and get her life sorted out...or be with someone else...or whatever reason...but in the end, it just isn't good...
electricity Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I didn't say anything about when women want casual sex; just that when people say that women prefer older men, the reason tends to be that they're looking for serious relationships. College girls could very well also be looking for older men, but I remember when I was in college, an older guy meant a senior when I was a sophomore, not someone already out of college. I haven't really thought about when women look for casual sex, and what you're saying does make some amount of sense. Quick point to make: younger women can also be catty/judgmental. Even moreso that older, more mature women oftentimes.
xRJ85x Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Yea, for the most part girls will be more attracted older guys.
EricaH329 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Not a good idea. 18 and 19 year olds have so much growing up and maturing to do. If you are looking for something serious, I wouldn't suggest going for younger.
Author Don'tWannabeAWannabe Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Oh my lord, will somebody just please answer the questions? 1) are 18, 19 year olds into 20-something guys? 2) where do you meet 18 and 19 year old girls?

USMCHokie Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Oh my lord, will somebody just please answer the questions? 1) are 18, 19 year olds into 20-something guys? Can't answer this one. 2) where do you meet 18 and 19 year old girls? College campuses...and smaller towns and cities full of townies that didn't go to college and instead work local jobs...
