Lakeside_runner Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 10 "easy" steps... well some are, some may be not (like #5 or #8 depending on who you are): 1. Join a running group. 2. Show up for a couple of runs. 3. Casually talk to a girl who shoed up for a couple of runs and than suddenly disappeared. 4. Meet that girl at a 1/2-marathon start line and talk to her (gotta remember her name which considering her eyes is not hard to do!) 5. Run a 1:40:27 1/2-marathon 6. Wait for her at the finish line for 25 minutes 7. Cheer her on while she's crossing the finish line! 8. Walk up to her, man up, talk to her, ask her if she wants to grab some coffee sometime, ask her for her number. 9. When she asks if you've got a pen say that you'll remember it since you're good with numbers in general - it's a professional thing (as of last Friday I've a PhD in math) 10. Smile and tell her you'll talk to her soon! To be honest I found #8 much harder than #5 but the reward for #8 was much more valuable than for #5
