My female co worker offering to take me food shopping is a sign of "hidden interest?"

I live in a downtown area of Philly where I don't need a car and don't opporunity to go to major markets. So my coworker offered to take me to the market after work in her car which is not common for a woman who has no hidden interest. Anyone think there maybe a hidden agenda? I'm still going though because I need a regular market for once-lol

I mean we are friends from working together but just wondering is this something would do if she had interest in dating a guy?

It really depends on the person. To me, it just sounds like a normal, friendly gesture coming from general kindness/helpfulness. I would call it a FAVOUR to you, not some subtle/sly come-on. But. You know her personally, so you could just ask yourself if she's the type of person who would have made the exact same offer to a female coworker in need of a ride to the market.

It doesn't mean that she doesn't have any romantic interest in you, only that this particular gesture is not a good one to use as a measure of her interest.

Reminder to be appropriately appreciative that she is helping you meet your needs for a market, offer to split gas costs, etc.

Is she flirtatious?

Are you saying that she DID hint at getting to eat after going, or your asking if she is likely to hint? We can't answer the latter.

How did it come about that she offered to take you? Were you discussing that you don't have a car and needed a way to get to the market? Or did you just ask for the favor of a ride?

It may just be a ride to the market.

Incidentally, if you are looking for hidden meanings, realize that it's often at least a minor strike against a guy who doesn't have the means to get around and do what he needs to in his life. Not saying it's a deal-killer, but when women list what turns them on or off, "needs rides to get places" is likely to end up in the "cons" column, more likely than the "pros." Just sayin'...

look at it this way, she's doing something for you.

most women try to get a guy to do stuff for them.

she wouldn't let you get in her car if she didn't trust you.

She wouldn't offer to take you shopping either if she didn't like you.

Is she interested romantically?

Maybe.

Maybe next time she wants you to go shopping with her. for shoes & needs you to hold her purse.

you never know.

worst case you've made friends with someone who has a car.

best case she jumps your bones.

just make sure your apartment is clean when she picks you up.

No that is how men work. They wouldn't do something like that for a woman they had no interest in.

I think she was just being nice is all.

when a chick takes you shopping there is usually some level of interest. shopping (even for food) is a sacred thing for chicks.

Eh, I don't know. I can think of several men at work that I would drive to the market, but that I have no romantic interest in. Women are much more likely to try to be just friends than men are.
