MashedPotatoes Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I posted a couple threads about a month back asking the community if the girl that I was interested in had mutual feelings towards me. Well, this past month, we've been spending a lot of time together, just the two of us. We've gone hiking, jog/walk along the beach at sunset, Saturday dinner "date", and she asked me to be her DD for her birthday party, which was last night. Just to recap, I've know this girl since we were tots, but we were never close friends, our parents were. We reconnected about a year ago, but up until this past month, we would only hang out sporadically with other people and when I would try to invite her out, she would always have some excuse/reason. But now, she is making herself waaaay more available and actually going out of her way to see me. I finally asked her out on an official date, specifically using the word "date" when I asked. Her response was very enthusiastic and she agreed to go on a date with me. I've increased the physical flirting when I'm around her and although she doesn't always reciprocate, she definitely does not mind. Our rapport seems to be growing stronger and we definitely seem to be much more comfortable around each other. Still, I'm kinda hesitant and not sure exactly where I stand. Most of her signs show that she's definitely interested, but there are some things that she's said here and there, that makes me wonder. I need to know if our upcoming date, is a date date, otherwise I'm just setting myself to get destroyed. I'm taking her to a dog beach (With my bulldog) in a couple days and I'm considering bringing it up. Not exactly DTR kinda stuff, but something along the lines of that. I don't know...what do you guys think?
Yamaha Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 IMO, if you can't tell by the way she acts towards you then it probably is platonic. A girl that is into you will let you know it by lots of touching, sexual flirting and the like. It sounds like she likes spending time with you as a friend. You need to just ask her if she sees you guys in a "dating way".
