I am a 22 year old female who just got out of a 5 year relationship in December. I was rather depressed for a while, thinking nothing was going right in my life. Right after I opened up with my mom (about a week later) I began talking to a wonderful guy. This new guy is about 2 years older than I am. We work together and talk often. I feel that I have become a better person since meeting him. I obviously am not purposely changing myself because of him, but feel that I am at the stage in my life where I am figuring out who I really am. If that makes any sense. Anyways, this guy knows that I like him. We talk online a lot, and daily at work for a couple minutes. We flirt a lot, and I've even brought up hanging out sometime. As of yet we haven't hung out, he was busy last weekend due to mothers day and whatnot. It's Thursday and he hasn't brought it up yet (I hope he does). Anyways, he has mentioned thinking that we should take things slow being we both recently got out of long term relationships. I agree, I don't want either of us rushing into a relationship just to be in one. Especially since I feel that I really like him. I am very eger to learn more about him, hence why I'd like to get to hang out (we don't even have to consider it a date).

Anyways, what does it mean when he wants to take it slow?

Also, I was the one to ask about going out sometime, does this mean I shouldn't bring it up again? Like, should I just lay low and hope he comes swooping in?

I am just at a loss, I am so worried that I will scare him off
