She of course did bad things, and should be dumped, and she deserved to lose mutual friends over treating him badly. But what she did in no way justifies him acting like that. The guy is a nasty piece of work.

If someone sent me a video of my sister having sex with her ex boyfriend I'd be like "what's this for"? I mean that's not only embarrassing to her but to you also. I know 15 year olds who can come up with something better than that.

I'm inclined to believe someone who would send a video to someone's family because he's "angry", would indeed make a copy of a video, and tell his GF he didn't. It comes down to the type of person he is. Because if he really didn't intend to have an extra copy, it would be because he respected her, and cared about her reputation and feelings... and in return, would have NEVER sent this video to the poor girl's family (regardless of how angry he was). This represents him as a human being, not as a boyfriend. The guy is a dick. I hope her family isn't all that upset, it's just sex- on a tape. Big deal. They know she has sex, the only difference is a level of privacy. If this girl has good parents and a stable family, they will sympathize, not hold it against her.

You do know that the video tape is an sexual act between TS and the girl, where his face was not shown? He then sent the videotape to the female's family mainly to humiliate her. It's no longer a gender issue, it's whether you have any morals.

We all either experienced first hand or heard stories of how "Hell have no fury like a woman scorned." Two wrongs don't make a right. To the OP I can relate to why you did what you did. I would hope that I would never do anything like that because two wrongs don't make a right. If you still have the video you should just get rid of all copies. Hopefuly you didn't send the video to any one else or put it on any websites. It would also be nice if you wrote her a brief message " I regret what I did and I got rid of all copies so you don't have to worry about it anymore if you deleted the copies I sent your family."

Who knows) he gets pissed off and seeks revenge... sending it to her family? You have terrible standards for yourself, and would make a terrible parent. Green, I'm with you. But I’m wondering… what the heck kind of ‘evidence’ is this particular video suppose to provide, and how does it relate whatsoever to the accusations he’s trying to make? Confront daughter about video, daughter shamefully fesses up and reveals name of blurred-face ex boyfriend in tape, thus identifying the sender. The postal information from where the package was sent confirms a match. I’m suddenly less concerned about the tape, and more concerned about the kind of creep she's gotten herself mixed up with… and keeping her daddy from finding him before we’re able to contact the proper authorities.
