So. This guy I have known for years, we've always been kind of flirty, but nothing has ever happened between us.... until last weekend, we made out and fooled around a little... The next day we hung out for a little while, it wasnt weird or uncomfortable (at least not on my part) and we've talked and texted a few times since then.

Well. Tonight he texted me, and we were chatting, and he asked me to go out with him tomorrow night. And I responded jokingly, "well I would, but I have class.... and, style?" he responded jokingly saying that I was lame for not going out with him but that "even lame-o's have style" and I said "what about finesse?" (an inside joke in reference to a song we both like that goes a lil something like 'she's got style and finesse way above the rest')

To which he responded "Hahahaha. Ohh, you certainely have finesse"

15 minutes later: "Id say more than that but I wouldnt be saying much"

I played it off and made up some witty retort.... but, What the hell does THAT mean? Is that a jab or a compliment??

(P.S. I didnt intentionally post the title with an angry face... hahaha)

Given the general nature of your communications that led up to this one, I'd take it as self-deprecating humour. But you know him in person, so you'd have a much better idea than anyone here. You can also just ask him how he meant it.
