Just curious as to which ring the women would pick?

I think I know which my wife would prefer. I am looking for more style opinions. I know one cost more than the other.

I will need to start putting money aside for a few months. :D

Well I liked the second one, and that was before I saw the price. I think the second one has more uniqueness and style to it.

I like the style of the first one better.

For me tho it would be white gold and some other stone.

Something to consider...does your wife normally wear yellow or white gold jewelry? What color is her wedding set that she wears now?

FTR, I liked the first ring!

The 2nd! :)

I wear only white gold, do you know what she wears/prefers??

Posted

I like the first, because I like rings that stack. Does she have other rings that are stackable, or does her style tend to be more ornate like her wedding set?

I also greatly prefer colored stones to diamonds, but I'm probably in the minority there :)

The first one. It has a classic feel to it.

She doesn't wear alot of rings. I think the only other one she wears all of the time is a mother ring that has the birth stones of the kids in it.

She tends to wear jewelry that has sentimental value such as the diamond bracelet and necklace I got her.

ugh, I don't care for diamonds, but I do have to admit I love love love the setting on the first band. Very simple, but stylish, and kinda reminds me of a tennis bracelet, which I've always thought were attractive. and it makes me think of that infinity poem: A ring is round and has no end, that's how long I'll be your friend. Though in this case, you *could* substitute "squeeze," "honey-bunny" or "sugar-booger"! ;)

I have one similar to the first in white gold that I wore alot when I first got it. But having trouble wearing anything right now.

But I really like the second one.

Okay, another new choice. While I like the second one, I kinda think my wife would go with the classic look. I guess I do want something a little more unique...but not too unique.

Compare this one...

Still the first one?

Thanks.

I like it, too, and I think my wife may like it, too...if it weren't an anniversary ring. As some other ring...yes. I think certain rings signify certain events. And the "classical" looking anniversary ring speaks anniversary to others as well as her.

I may do the Journey necklace for a birthday down the road. :)

Ok...now I say definitely the new one over the first one in your OP.

I like the new one posted too. It's not as modern or as classic as the first ones you posted. But between the very first two you posted, I liked the first one. Between the first one and this new one, I totally like the new one. Beautiful.

Edited to add a "Congrats" James on your years of marriage.

Thanks Jersey and those who wished me congrats. It only seems like yesterday that we met. truly.

I got to the big mall and checked out some rings in real life. (What I like about the big mall is that there is a half dozen jewelry stores there. Saves on gas and time...although I probably spend more on the jewelry.

Anyhow, seeing some rings in real life changed my opinions. I did find some other interesting options and am leaning towards a different one at this point. Besides, if she gets stuck on the classic anniversary ring, then she can have that for another anniversary.

Many of the stores carried a three stone ring...this store called it a past/present/future ring.

Others had similar styles without the diamond chips in the band...

I also noticed that yellow gold is on the way out for now. I hope that the next time I am looking for a ring it will be on the way back in.

Thoughts on the three stones style?

Posted

I like the first one best, but I know that part of that is because I think about it against my current ring. The first would look the best. (though I personally would prefer emeralds...)

My second choice is the 3 stones alone.

I'm fairly classical at heart, though. :)

Before even seeing it, I would have suggested something incredibly similar to the first. "An eternity band of diamonds."

Personally, I prefer an eternity band that is NOT channel set. And it doesn't even have to be a true eternity band (diamonds all the way around), just along the top/front so it LOOKS like an eternity band.
