This is a question for the women of the board. If you saw a guy with an ugly face but a great body, could you still be interested in him, you know dating, ONS, **** buddies, whatever (don't bring whether he has a good personality or not into it, I'm just asking strictly on a physical level).

Physically speaking, for me, no. Absolutely not, but I'm a HUGE face girl and I always look people in the eye. A good face can make up for a mediocre body, though.. For my room mate, however, this is a huge yes; she doesn't care about a man's face, at all.

Guess it depends on the woman.

I know two guys who work out obsessively, but who's faces look like they got hit by a bus.

Put simply, a guy with an unattractive face and great body > a guy with an unattractive face and unattractive body.

I think people's ideas of attractive face differs, also. Sure there are general ideas of beauty, but beyond that it's to each their own. There are some men whose faces I find horribly unattractive but my bff finds gorgeous and vice versa.

Nah, guys can be "butterfaces" too :D

I can't answer your question strictly on a physical level because I do not determine my partners strictly on a physical level. I have been attracted to all types of men. There is a certain type I like but that doesn't mean I don't feel attraction for others. Sometimes I felt attract for stereotypically unattractive men..and other times not. However, I don't think this is so much the case for men. I do think men are more easily manipulated by looks.

How many people really have quote unquote 'unattractive faces' anyway? I mean it's pretty hard to screw up a face. In a crowd of 100 people I swear I may see less than 10 unattractive faces.

It should be noted that overweight people have overweight faces that may be unattractive but thats not due to the face itself, but the weight problem so they don't count.

No.

If he has a really hot body, he's already fairly vain.

I don't do vain.

If he's not good looking, he's also deluded.

No I don't think I could go for it. I'm okay with a bit of a quirky feature, but not outright ugly no matter what body type he has.

Sad case too, an old friend from school; very well built but looked like a troll about the face. Normally, I'm not bothered by short on a guy because I'm short for a girl. His shortness only added to the trollishness. :(

Heheh, poor guy...you'd better hope OpenGL doesn't read this post...

But in my experience (and a bit of my opinion), a more attractive face will actually make a body look better...while a killer body doesn't necessary have the same positive effect on a person's face...regardless of whether it's a guy or girl...

But I also agree with what Rorshach said about faces in general...there are generally very few truly ugly faces out there...it's often neglect of one's face and poor hygiene and grooming habits that makes an otherwise decent face look bad...

This is truth, I got contacts, acne creams, and a couple skin products (moisturizers and stuff, don't look at me like i'm gay TLC made me do it!) and it makes a HUGE difference. The acne cream in particular.

no. a persons face is important to me. I dont want a butterface.

You'd have to be pretty ignorant, in my opinion, to think moisturizer and acne creams made someone gay. Smooth skin is attractive on everyone. Does anyone on earth prefer pimply skin?

It was more joke than anything, I wasn't referring so much to acne creams, I've never heard of any guy with problems with acne creams. But moisturizers that smell like fruit and flowers are another thing entirely

Rule of thumb, get it in pine scent & your good.

Thats actually a great idea, I live in Maine so pine scent is practically the smell equivalent of camouflage!

I had a FWB like this. He had an amazing body, he was tall, well cut and defined muscles, really strong, he had body and face hair like a grown man (he was only in his early twenties), but... he had very awkward features. Extremely awkward. His face grew on me, but it was largely because of that amazing body. He wore contacts, and I'd often ask him to take them out and wear his glasses (this helped, I have a huge glasses fetish).

Yep. I'd tend to prefer an attractive face over an attractive body, but if you happen to have an unattractive face you might as well make the best of your other attributes.

Hello Ross, I've missed you alot around here:love:

Yes, I think for some women this is the case. Myself included. I don't mean that in a vain way, even if it is hard to say a very generalized statement like that and not leave readers wondering if I am a little vain or even shallow. I don't want to seem that way. It does seem like a generalized question however.

You've asked the question for both men and women to answer. So not to derail the thread but if we were talking about a woman with a good/great body but a plain or average facial appearance, do you think the answers would be different? And I am curious because I feel like I fall into that category as a woman (good curvy body, but average facial appearance)

Average does not mean ugly, I don't think any women who had a nice body and an average face would have any trouble whatsoever.

Actually, I think they might very well be different...my belief is that men generally put women's physiques over their facial features...simply because the "average" female face is still pretty attractive...feminine facial features just tend to be more appealing to the eye...over the entire spectrum...

And if you take the stereotypical guy, you'll more often hear: "woah, check out that ass" or "damn that's a nice rack"...as opposed to, "wow, she has a really beautiful face"... (I apologize for those statements...just trying to make a point the way I always do...with minimal tact... :))

In short - Men bad, women good.

That pretty much sums up all your posts :)

I don't think this is true. Women just have more dealbreakers in general, for whatever biological or social reason (don't know why). Red hair doesn't make a woman unattractive at all, but for a man it's a death sentence. Asian women have no trouble dating whoever they want, but Asian men have serious troubles. Short guys , I won't even start, but short and tall women all have guys to date.

yeah I heard that stereotype about redhead men being unattractive. Asian men don't really have trouble dating within the asian population its only when they try to date other ethnicities. Same with black women.

Eh, this definitely depends on the area and local demographic...there are definitely certain parts of the country where Asian men even have trouble with Asian women...
