D-Lish Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Heheh, thanks D, I'll write that down... It's the European style with guys that turns me off... lol. I don't want to date a guy with a matching scarf:eek: If you're gay, go with H&M mannequins, if not- stick with Abercrombie

Ruby Slippers Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I think natural fiber clothes work really well on Asian and Latino guys -- anyone with a richer skin tone -- and give a great way to kick up a men's outfit a little. Things like linen and raw cotton. These fibers are pretty "in" right now, too, so you can find them easily.
elysium23 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I definitely get wow'ed by guys bodies, especially if they are tall with broad shoulders (but not too bulky otherwise..i don't like huge muscles).. I'm always checking out my boyfriend's body when he's around. I think women are more visual than they care to admit (because it's not "ladylike" to check out guys)..or maybe i'm just weird 8-)
Els Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Men of LS...take note of this...BUY CLOTHES THAT FIT! And work out...so that you can fit into said clothes. Oftentimes, properly fitting clothing will make your body look even better than it really is... Wow, I'm surprised at you, Ruby's and a few others' posts. I understand about the 'fitting' clothes, as in not TOO baggy... but isn't 'fitted', as in tight-fitting enough to reveal body shape, like a girl's baby tee? I must admit I see VERY few guys wearing that on a constant basis. I know many guys wear fitted tees to the gym and fitted shirts to fancy places, but for everyday wear? And honestly, the few I do know who wear that for everyday wear, are typically metrosexual and vain. Y'know, the sort of guy who spends 30 minutes gelling up his hair in the morning, wears colored contacts, and carries a small mirror and a comb around with him. Hardly my type.
magda Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 No, fitted doesn't mean skin tight like guido tight. It just means close-fitting, tailored... enough to show us the shoulders and butt.
Els Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Oh no, not skin tight - I said like a woman's baby tees, are those usually skintight? Maybe a picture would be in order. http://www.polo-shirts.co.uk/images/fotl_mens_slim_fit_t-shirt.jpg

I thought my boyfriend's body was average at best (but I still loved him) until I saw him naked.. then I was really surprised how great his body is, because he was hiding it under all those baggy clothes! And oversized pants make guys look shorter and stubbier, like a little boy wearing his father's clothes. At least that is the image that pops into my head when I see a guy wearing pants 3 sizes too big for him. Edited May 12, 2010 by elysium23
magda Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Yeah, it's not necessary to go quite that tight in my book. Just a little less tight... That probably falls under what I referred to as "guido tight". Not my style either! It makes him look a little vain. He should be nonchalant about it. Death to baggy pants and baggy, collared shirts, death! Edited May 12, 2010 by magda
Rorschach Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Yeah, but aren't you the one that doesn't want to wear a rubber, but is terrified of having babies?!?!? Keep up the good work on the hot bod! Well, it's less that I just 'don't want to wear a rubber' but that even with proper birth control that 1% is too high a chance. But yeah, there are alot of things one can do that have NO chance of making babies and are just as fun (or at least close) so female attention is still something I'm after. Not to mention the fact that a hot bod would help me get into a good relationship, which is something I want even more than sex anyway.

Hahahah, I definitely know the type you are talking about... As the others have said, fitted certainly doesn't mean skin-conforming tops that are three sizes too small...but there are certain fit guidelines that should be observed...especially in the shoulder and chest areas...many of the so-called "modern cuts" or "slim fits" simply involve a tapered waist which eliminates unnecessary fabric and accentuates a man's figure (V-shaped torso); as opposed to the more classic square cuts which look like parachutes on a lot of men... Going too big or too small are both bad...

Oftentimes, properly fitting clothing will make your body look even better than it really is... Amen to that. Guys - get yourself to a gym! You can only appreciate the power of having a nice body once you have one. And for God's sake, learn how to dress. Here's some motivation.... on Friday I had a first date with a lovely lady at a restaurant near my place. Afterwards, she drove me to a coffee shop for a late night latte. This is the car that I rode in. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2268/2250678835_b6f000b745.jpg You can't keep me out of a gym.

Trying to buy fitted dress shirts sucks, because to fit my shoulders and arms, they're way too baggy around my midsection. I have to get them all sized to fit me
monkeywithagun Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I dont think I have ever been wow'ed,.. if I encounter someone with what I consider a hot body ill just think "hm",,. I think someones personality is what makes them hot,. Ive also always really been into guys a little on the chubby side because I am skinny,,. so I enjoy the oposite.
stillafool Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I can't believe in the day and age men still believe things like "women are not into looks" or "men aren't emotional". Yes we are very much visual and love goodlooking men. But for me a good body without a face to match doesn't turn me on. I need both. When I saw Ryan Reynolds on the red carpet at the Oscars, I swear he looked so good I was literally swaying back and forth like a............
stillafool Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Is a guy's physique, or even any other physical trait, enough to push you to want to know a guy better...? Yes, a slight bow in his legs. Really a turn on.
Sivok Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 So this is why I ask about the whole insecurity thing...and if there's a slight "imbalance" in the fitness of two people in a relationship, can that imbalance be destructive...? Can being "too fit" be detrimental to a relationship...? Or even during the initial stages of dating...?From a guy's perspective not really. Well, I guess the situation with my ex is flipped. In comparison she had a much much hotter figure than I did, but I never felt insecure about it.
Philetus Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Is that a Porshe Boxster ? Yeah, a red one just like the picture. I'm not into status symbols but I'll never forget the look on this guys face when I climbed out of it at the coffee shop. It's too bad I'm not really into the woman who owns it.

Someone after my own heart..when I say I just finished watching The Proposal. But Deadpool comes out 2011(can't wait) O/T but if I can wrap up Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Gerald Butler(accent), Will Smith ,Vin Diesel (voice) and Alec Baldwin and some how Jason Segel into one...I truthfully will be addicted. But I am pretty sure women are way more visual then men want to believe.Have you seen how female groupies conduct themselves?

MrNate Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Well, Mr. Hokie, judging by the size of your thread, and the amount of women flipping out over this topic, I think the answer is a nice, resounding 'Yes'.

I'm holding out hope she'll let me drive it.
