Author USMCHokie Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 Think of the people you've dated and/or have been physically attracted to. Are they all very similar in looks or do they look completely opposite physically? I've been all across the board...but then again, I never actually placed much weight (hah, I made a funny...) on a girl's physique...my ex was a little bit heavier but I was working with her to lose that little bit of weight...the girl I most recently dated for a few weeks was a bit heavier than the ex...but I've also dated a few thinner girls a few years back...but none of them were hardcore fitness junkies when I met them... It's strange now that you bring it up...it's possible that I go for the ones that I could almost turn into "projects," for lack of a better term...the naturally beautiful ones with the great genuine personalities that might have some weight to lose, and then I have that subconscious desire to whip them into shape...and then they become super hot...and then they leave me after they realize they can now do better...
SteveC80 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 AS a guy who went from skiny and gawky to extremely fit and modeling allot with my shirt off ive found women are worse then Men,the things women do and say to me in public if it were Men doing that theyd be charged for sexual harrasment 100 times over
Author USMCHokie Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 In my experience, they are as wowed as us guys are. The difference may be that they are not as demonstrable in their reactions, at least, not in public. Some guys will openly stare (borderline leering) whereas women glance out of the side of their eye. Hahah, yea, I definitely have my share of the creepers at my gym...it's hilarious to watch them...but women have it down to an art...that subtle glance...they don't let you catch them looking, but you just know they're practically staring at you...? "You gotta use your PERIPHERALS!!!" I'm a weightlifter and I catch women checking me out at the gym. I was with a woman a couple weeks ago and when I took my shirt off she audibly gasped - hottest thing ever! The coolest reaction I got recently was while I was running on the local running/biking trail sans shirt...some girl was riding her bike behind a guy who had to be her boyfriend...they passed from behind me, and she turns completely around and gives me a smile and a nice little thumbs up...I was startled and didn't know how to react... Or when I was at the Battle of Thermopylae back in the day...and I turned away the entire Persian army when I took my shirt off...

I dont know how many times a women with her boyfriend smiled at me when he wasnt looking evne had a few ask for my numbers and tell me their boyfrineds arent as hot as me and want a piece of me Women today are out of control,at first it was flattering but now its hard for me to trust women seeing how easily they can be tempted by a good looking in shape guy regardless of being in a relationship

Well maybe that has something to do with your profession? **Drop down and give me twenty**
Author USMCHokie Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 Well maybe that has something to do with your profession? **Drop down and give me twenty** Hahahah, perhaps...I don't know...I think it's an insecurity of mine...that the super hot ones wouldn't be interested...so I'm subconsciously more attracted to the "average-looking" (for lack of a better term...) women...? And oftentimes for women, simply getting in shape is the one thing that turns average into super hot...and it's really cool to be a motivator for someone who wants to get in shape...

Snakebite Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Yep, I sure do! My first bf was tall and skinny with limited muscle def. I've always had a thing for lean-ish guys and at the time I thought his bod was way hot. My second was a fitness freak, a PT in the army, shortish and very built. Try as I might, I was just not attracted to this look as much as I wished. I've struck the jackpot with my 3rd guy tho. We're talking 6 foot tall, long lean ripped arms, broad shoulders, washboard abs with a just enough hint of his 6-pack, tight butt, firm thighs and long athletic legs. HE'S S**T HOT!! . And that's his natural build, without working out and eating reasonably well. Lucky bugger! When I met him I thought he was a bit more built than I'd like but I've done a complete 180 in no time at all. I think the first thing that hit home was how safe I felt with him, even walking down the street at night in a dodgy suburb I never felt frightened and knew he'd be willing and able to defend me if anything happened. Hell, I even started holding my head a bit higher and feeling just a little bit tough! . I keep telling him he looks like a surf brand model, he's just delish! Now I cant take my eyes off him, I'm always staring coz he's so damn hooooootttttttt!!!!
bananalaffytaffy Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I would gawk a little bit at a hot guy with a nice body, but it wouldn't supersede his other qualities. He would get extra brownie points for being hot though I agree. My lovebug when I met him had a super hot bod, but it's not what attracted me to him- the bod was just a bonus. He let his routine drop for a few months while he was on a job out of town- no gym, eating out instead of cooking in- he gained a few pounds and the six pack is gone. Do I care? Nope. It was nice to look at, but my lovebug is still my lovebug.
zebracolors Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 At the heart of it, I believe this does happen with women as well. As others have said women usually just are not as obvious about it, though there are exceptions to every rule. And I don't think there is anything shallow in knowing in your mind what kind of body on the opposite gender YOU find attractive. Basing the decision as to if you'd want to date someone based on how the body is, is maybe just instinctual. Certainly is with their face, which is the first thing most people see about you. It's been said here before that it can only be physical attraction to someone who you don't know, that maybe makes you curious to see if they'd be good to get to know, or be in a relationship with. And there has to be some attraction in the first place so that someone is inspired to find these things out. That said, I admit I have been wow'd by men who, imo, are attractive by my own personal standards, (which will be different for every woman) It's funny though because my ldbf, is in many ways the opposite of what I usually personally find attractive, in more ways then one. Perhaps partly because of his nationality, he is naturally on the tall, lean side, but not lanky or skin and bones, and does go to the gym. But because we seemed to hit it off so well I never once cared that he has that physique.
Twenty-ten Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 He's got to have a hot face too, a hot body alone does dcik all for me.
Rorschach Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 This thread makes me want to work even harder on building my own hot body. I want attention of the female variety too!
Peaceful Guy Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I don't get stop and stare wowed like guys seem to, but there is a definite body type I notice, although for me as soon as I get to know a person I stop "seeing" just the physical body. A hot body with built arms and a nice azz don't mean anything it the spirit inside is rude, mean and shallow. nice brainygirl.. vurry cooool!
Ruby Slippers Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 ...which is why it's so important to buy and wear clothes that actually fit... Yes. My last boyfriend had this fine, hard body, but he was all guy and his shirts were always too big. One night for a hot dinner and jazz club date, though, he wore this slightly fitted brown shirt with a slight sheen to it, and his shoulder and trapezius muscles just POPPED. He looked like a total sex bomb. I think I really was gaping when I answered the door. I was allll over him that night. I think the short answer is: most women do not require a high level of hot-bodied-ness, but most of us love it when we're got our arms wrapped around it.

I buy clothes in the right size, but now all my clothes are HUGE on me. I'm saving up a good 400-500 dollars and I'm just going to throw away all my clothes and go shopping in august/september when I hit my goal weight.

I'm saving up a good 400-500 dollars and I'm just going to throw away all my clothes and go shopping in august/september when I hit my goal weight. Great idea, and definitely a good motivator to keep training hard and eating right! Trust me, you'll have a lot of fun clothes shopping with the new body...especially if you get help from those female sales associates...they'll have fun dressing you up too...hahah...

And work out...so that you can fit into said clothes. Oftentimes, properly fitting clothing will make your body look even better than it really is...

Yes nothing is better than fitted clothes....a fitted white t-shirt , preferable v-neck,with some fitted jeans.... not tight but fitted

It always seemed so...unfinished...to me...like the guy forgot to put on his shirt over his undershirt or something... Please advise...

It always seemed so...unfinished...to me...like the guy forgot to put on his shirt over his undershirt or something... Please advise... Ok I am not referring to a vest which tends to look unfinished.(I am pretty sure that is not what it is called in America : but I am not to familiar with the term) Not to sure if you thought that is what I meant. And yes I meant for casual wear. I don't mean this (http://origin.buy-here.com/hanes/images/en-us/Catalog/Products/prod_102630_zoom.jpg) But more like so (http://www.underu.com/storefront/images/25253_front.jpg) But I am the last person to give advice but this just my personal liking ... lol But I think pairing a simple tee with jeans a leather jacket and some sneakers.. you are pretty set in my book

It always seemed so...unfinished...to me...like the guy forgot to put on his shirt over his undershirt or something... Please advise... I really like a guy with style, as fashion is my career- however, I tend to percieve overly stylish guys as "gay". A really easy way for average guys to shop is to observe the mannequins in the store windows and go into the store and ask an associate for help with the look. That's why we put the mannequin in our windows - it's to make your shopping experience easier. I don't get all wrapped up in a guys body- I look at their face first.
