miss_cupcake Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 For weeks the guy I like has been wanting me to come out to a pub with him and my friends, so last night I went. He was so happy to see me and I felt the same way about him. Last night he was always asking me to come with him to find people, and meet his friends which I thought was really nice and he would always touch me on the back as if to direct me when I was in front of him, or on the hip or arm. Does this mean he likes me? I had to leave early at the end of the night, we hugged goodbye and I left. I'm worried that maybe my dancing put him off haha! Nah, I'm not that bad. Then I texted him afterwards saying sorry I had to go and I wish I could have stayed longer, and thanks for buying me a drink and he replied the next morning and said 'hey, it was a fun night! No worries about the drink, you just gotta come out with us'. I'm sure I like him because everytime he touched me I would get butterflies in my tummy! What do you think?

He encouraged you to go out with him (and his friends), sought out your company, introduced you to people (shows he's proud of you) and hugged you goodnight. You texted him saying you'd had fun so you gave him a good sign. Wait a little and see if he seeks you out again. If you reciprocate his encouragement, then gradually you would expect him to want to spend more time alone with you and to try a kiss at some point. If he is including you in with his friends and family and acknowledging you publicly as someone special, then these are good signs that he's genuinely interested in getting to know you and for more than just a fling. There are never any guarantees though.
