runner Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 seems like i've got this strange pattern going on with me: a few times now, when i've got myself into a serious relationship with someone and it eventually doesn't work out for whatever reason, they go off and marry the next guy they get inolved with. i can now count 4 specific incidences so far, which i think is beginning to look like a pattern can anyone else relate to this ? and what does this say about me ? does that make me, "mr. penultimate," "mr. close but no cigar." ??
kdark Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 It makes you mister "I just dodged a bullet." i don't keep track of my exes enough to even know something like that. I don't want to know.
Author runner Posted May 8, 2010 Author Posted May 8, 2010 yea i could totally see the dodging bullets thing. thanks for that; was beginning to wonder if i was broken somewhere in this last event, i never cared to ask, i was given this news.
Ellezz Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Many people do that, marrying the next person after a long serious relationship, I can't figure out why either. Are you the one who broke up with them?

This is the plot of Good Luck Chuck by the way
xpaperxcutx Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Good Luck Chuck, anyone? Okay, that was a fictitious movie ( with a copious amount of bad reviews) but what are the coincidences? Personally, I would not look too much into it, because I don't keep tabs on my exes. Except, my first ex did get married with the girl after me ( which kind of surprised the h- out of me). If you think too much about it ( like the fact that you're probably some kind of jinx) you would get a headache worse than a hangover. Face it, sometimes exes do the craziest things after breaking up, but in no way should that reflect on you as a person right? They're in the past and you're free to go on with your life. That's about as positive as you can look at things.
Author runner Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 This is the plot of Good Luck Chuck by the way i haven't seen this. is it any good ? but now that it relates to this i'm not sure that i want to see it now
Author runner Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Many people do that, marrying the next person after a long serious relationship, I can't figure out why either. Are you the one who broke up with them? first one: i ended it. second one: her. third: about mutual. fourth: about mutual. and again, it's not taht i was keeping tabs on them; they've either notified me (wtf ??), or i heard it through the grapevine. wierd indeed.

dazzle22 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I am guessing that you are all at the age where this happens?..(people getting married), more than anything that has to do with you. I'm guessing mid 20's? That's when people start to feel the itch. One that BTW should not be scratched till MUCH later if you know what's good for you.
