My mother's infidelity

OP: I have been reading this post and looking at others and came across a statement that some cheaters want to get caught because they feel so guilty, but don't have the strength to tell their BS. I'm wondering if the reason your mother told you is because she is one of those people who hope to get caught to end it, and her telling you was a plea for help and she really hopes you would tell your father so he would step up and stop the affair. What do you and others think of this idea.

We have discussed this a lot here. The daughter is just their daughter - and not a participant.. .. The mother is a big girl, it is her sin - her responsibility to tell.. The father did sense something years ago, and chose to believe the mother..
