She made a rude comment to coworkers that my accident and being out of work was "something he probably did and deserved" (what a bitter little thing, haha). Anyway, she came by my desk today and here's how it went.... Her: "Hi..." Me: (Hand on my chin, looking at my PC, I turn my head and say) "Hello" (turn my head back to my computer) Her: "Well it's glad to have you back..." Me: (Without turning my head I say) "Thanks" Her: She walks away. She got the hint very fast that I was not interested in chatting or interacting with her. This isn't a bitter, angry issue. This is about me keeping my private life away from her and getting my work done. Bottom line: If you work with your ex, you are not obligated to converse with them about any private information about your life. Just give them kind but short messages and move your day on. (without them!) Anyone care to debate this or chastise me? I'm all ears

I did hear that she was "asking" my coworkers if she should come see me at the hospital and they basically told her "No, that is not a good idea" (they shut her out too). Her and I don't have a relationship, we don't talk and we're not friendly. She still stalks me online though. I guess she got the hint that I really don't want any personal interaction with her. you are right though, no need to speak with ex's ever, it is just an unfortunate circumstance that you work together. I was hired first and I like where I work. I just don't like having to see her walk upstairs where I work, where there is nothing regards to her up here. She just does it to try and get my attention.... Tell your ex to read the link in my signature.. HAHA! Oh trust me, she doesn't read LS and if she did she'd have no clue who I am in person. Only a rare few on LS really know who I am in person Man I wrote that thread a long time ago and it sill applies. She'd have no reason to read it, she's dating someone else now and has been for a couple years now.
