How would one explain to their spouse that they are going away to an OW/OM Conference??? That would be an interesting conversation!

But definitely a fun trip!!

Yeah- we could all turn up and practice NC!!!

But that would not be fun!

(apologies to stopthedrama who is trying to keep this thread on track!)

Could be a tele-conference I guess..

Anyway, wow, I've never thought about what you people would look like, although I have decided that any OW/OM would be drop dead georgous of course, I mean, what other reason would anyone have married people chasing after them (well apart from great personality and all that other b*****)....!!

Yeah, LD - the Land of Sunshine really could mean a lot of things but had you pegged as american but very cool and HOT! Maybe because Designing Women was one of my favorite shows years back.... I just didn't know if sunshine was Cali or Southern... Didn't want to "Stereotype"!!

I picture Joey as a really sweet, dark-haired guy with cool glasses. Nice smile too.:)

Yep I agree, anyone from anywhere with sunshine I can assure will not be the UK....As soon as I see sunshine I think US....Lucky, lucky people...I'll be there on Tuesday, anyone near Vegas and fancies a party with some good old(young) British girls then let me know;)

H4U - Wish I could join you! Sounds like lots of fun, not so much where I am.... work, work, work (and Love Shacking - which sounds dirtier than it is).

I don't know if this will help you but, when I finally realized that the man I cared for was not the man xMM really is, I mourned the loss as though it was an actual death. To me, that man did indeed die (if he ever truly existed). This helped me to separate that person from the one I still have to deal with at work. It was a difficult process but I no longer think back to the good times in the A after I see him/correspond with him. He isn't that person. The man I cared for does not exist.

The problem is that the person I thought MW was, and the person she really is, share the same body. They could be twins. And I think they're hot!

JAST, there is hope for you, he said (in German) that he was NOT English....

SecretLady - First, you're not bonkers. You're trying to reconcile the person you care for with the person that actually exists. Given the situaton, I think it's pretty normal.

This kind of thinking has kept me from being sucked back in and I see xMM for the shyt he really is.

Good luck & be strong... ((hugs))

Wow just read this. A very profound post indeed and I share your views almost exactly to a "T", especially the bolded part. I believe I too built my XOM to be someone who he wasn't. He really showed his true colors upon ending with me. Rather than just be a mature human being and just end it by communicating like an adult, he had to insult me upon ending. I will never ever forget his words to me upon ending...never.

Ohhhh! Thanks for that, I thought he was saying he was German. Okay, back to my regularly scheduled visual!!! LOL!!
