but I just figured out how to use my webcam more effectively and I was just so impressed that I can't wait. So here we go, before and after pictures of the last 3 months. I still got more to lose but I think everybody will agree there is a VERY noticeable difference.

NOTE: I am shirtless, so if somewhat hairy shirtless men disgust you don't click it, oh and I'd appreciate any insight people can tell me about my face, just whether its an average attractive face or not, I can fix whats left of my body, but I can't change my face so I'd like to know.

Before: http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/604/before1c.jpg

After 1: http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/6990/picture6u.jpg

After 2: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3508/picture7rw.jpg

Ignore the double chin in the second pic I was looking down at an odd angle.

I have to say that even though I only took these pictures maybe 3 minutes ago, while I was initially OMG now I'm like 'ewww look at that spot' and all that. Does everybody do that? When I look at them as a whole it's pretty great, but when I look too close the illusion drops. haha.

I probably should've worn a shirt...

I actually wish you had a shirtless pic from when you first started...and are pictures "after 1" and "after 2" from the same time...?

Also, black tends to be slimming, so it's hard to gauge from your starting pic with that black tshirt...

Our physiques tend to look a lot better from a distance than up close, so it's not just you who sees that...

You can tell that you have had a significant weight loss but you can't tell how much really because of the shirt/no shirt thing. Congratulations!

I know what you mean, but it's the only before picture I have, well I guess there are a couple more on facebook, but I don't take pictures of myself that often.

Thats probably the least flattering picture I have, oh wait no. I have a GREAT before picture from when I went moose hunting, it makes me look TERRIBLE (big poofy hunter jacket haha) but I don't have acess to it right now, I could probably get it tomorrow.

Keep up the good work R! You should be proud of yourself.

oh and yes the after 1 and after 2 are seconds apart, I just wanted one that showed off my new though slightly still pathetic biceps. To see a good difference that you can see in the after 1 and before picture look a the double chin I had in the before picture, that was ALL THE TIME. while the second after picture isn't a very flattering look the first one is pretty accurate.

Well, the absolute first thing I noticed was your face and neck. It looks significantly better and healthier now than in the before pic. Again, the shirted before pic makes it difficult for me to say anything else, but I can definitely tell that you're making great progress toward your goal. You had said you've lost 40 some pounds since you've started...? That's quite remarkable. Keep up the hard work!

And when you said that you were originally going to wait until the end to show the pics...sometimes it's better to show your progress throughout the program to reinforce to yourself that you actually are making progress...it certainly helps to keep you motivated...

PS...It was really funny that you posted this...because I finally got my camera back today, and I was actually going to post mine own shirtless pics tomorrow that cuppa had actually asked me about a while ago...but you beat me to it... :p

I agree with you Chokie- it's good to have before, after, as well as "during" pictures.

40lbs is a lot- it's a great feat. I am proud of you R.

Take another one with that same T shirt. Congrats none the less, keep up the hard work.

:bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny: you look awesome! keep it up Rorshach!

USMChokie, I thought you forgot, yeah, post your pic, keep the inspiration going!

hooray for you! You are looking fantastic!

Agree with the others it is a shame the first pic wasn't shirtless, but the changes in your face and neck are pretty cool! You must be feeling great!

The photo's in 6 weeks time or something are going to be awesome to see! Keep it up!

Here is a picture of me in the same shirt, I hope it's a little easier to tell, one good thing is look at the sleeves, they were tight around my arms in the before pic.

You look like you could kick some butt....Don't lose too much !

Good work dude. Keep gradually upping your intensity/work capacity in the gym, and keep gradually cleaning up your diet.

You've got the potential to look pretty stacked if you keep doing the above mentioned things.

What's your training been looking like these days? How frequently are you training? If you would like, you could post your weekly training schedule. That would allow us to make some suggestions on how to possibly accelerate your goals.

Also, how's your diet been?

At any rate, good job so far.

Thumbs up to your weight loss. Keep it up! You obviously have a lot of motivation and it's paying off.

Btw, you do have an attractive face.

Awesome. Increased gap between arms and body, slimmer arms, and a much more confident stance in the new picture. Could be camera angle, but notice your shoulders in the new pic...not as sloped as in the before pic...partially because of muscle gain, but also because of your improved posture (chest out, shoulders back, head up). Keep up the great work!

Diet has been pretty flawless, I eat between 1500-1800 calories a day, maybe one day a week I'll have one thing that goes outside my diet (normally a nice big bowl of popcorn, I LOVE POPCORN) but thats my 'splurge' day, and I probably take in 2200-2400 calories on a splurge day.

I work out 6-7 days a week, goes something like this

Day 1: 30 minutes stairmaster, burns about 700 calories

Abs, Back, Shoulders workout, including squats, deadlift, pull ups, push etc etc Takes maybe 40-50 minutes

30 minutes at a brisk walk on a treadmill for a cool down, burns about 300 calories

Day 2: 30 minutes stairmaster

Chest, Arms workout, arms is the only muscle group that I feel really comfortable with working out on freeweights takes about 30 minutes

30 minutes treadmill

Day 3: 30 minutes stairmaster

Legs workout, I don't know ANY good freeweights for legs so I just do the 8-10 machines they have, takes 30 minutes

30 minutes treadmill

Day 4: 30 minutes stairmaster

30 minutes treadmill

30 minutes stairmaster

30 minutes treadmill

By Day 5 the burn in my abs is gone so I go back to day 1 and repeat, I only take days off when work schedule prevents me from going (or I feel lazy, which is pretty rare).

For lifting I do the 5 by 5 theory that we talked about before, I've noticed a GREAT improvement in the amount I lift and I really feel my muscles building each and every week. I'm doing arms later today (normally I would've already gone by now but work got in the way) and I do concentration curls with 45s which I think is pretty good, and I do butterflys with 30s.

One thing I definitely could use advice on is freeweight leg exercises and good arms exercises I'm probably missing.

Thanks! Of course I was posing for the after picture, I think the before picture somebody just snapped a pic of me while I wasn't paying much attention, haha. But I still get giddy looking at the difference in the way the shirt hangs on me, you can see it's stretched around me in the before picture, literally tight to the skin, but in the after picture you can see folds in the fabric where it has plenty of extra room.

I think at this point, having lost a pretty significant amount of weight, you are ready to start some plyometric training...box jumps...not only do they build explosive leg power, but they are an absolutely KILLER cardio workout as well...you will probably never sweat so hard in your life...

Yep, and in about 6 months time, you'll be buying new shirts that will be snugly wrapped around muscle... :bunny:

But as far as the "posing" for the after picture, it's just a much more confident look...the difference is quite remarkable...you should strive to always maintain that better posture...women dig good posture...

I walk around like that all the time now =P It's easier to feel more confident in your looks when you've seen such noticeable differences in just a few short months. All the time I notice little things about my body that I didn't notice before.

For instance I've NEVER had pecs, I mean of course I had them, but I couldn't even feel when I flexed them. While I can't see them yet (damn you stubborn man boobs!) I can feel them even unflexed beneath the skin. Little things like that make it really easy to continue working on yourself.

Easily the hardest part about fixing yourself physically is getting started, that month or so when you can't see a difference and yet are still struggling to get into a rythm is so hard mentally. Now when I'm used to working out, eating right, and can see the improvements. it's a cinch.

I am curious. With the change in your body, and aside from the boost in confidence, do you find your personality is changing along with it?

Box Jump is great. I believe Rorschach did star jump in one of the challenge, that was great too. how tall did you do box jump chokie? I did 20" but yeah, it really increase the agility esp one I start open my hip and go straight up to the air.
