stillafool Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 OP I had a guy tell me recently that his wife's stretch marks actually turned him on.
reservoirdog1 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I've been with several women who've had stretch marks. They are also parents. It's never bothered me. In fact, I don't really have much of an opinion on them one way or another. They just are. Big deal!
Krytie TV Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 It would depend on whether or not I contributed to making them. If so, they are NO bother. If not, yeah, it might have a bit of a negative impact on the overall image.

Romance Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I dont know where mine came from..but i hate them! they're so huge and noticeable. and i'm not even overweight so its weird
Feelin Frisky Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Can I get some advice from you guys out there? I'm 31 yrs old and have just come out of a 7 year relationship and about to start dating again. Ive been told I'm attractive and I don't seem to have trouble attracting guys (I'm really not up my own ass) The thing is, Ive got stretch marks on my tummy and I'm really aware of them and they really give me a complex about myself! Be honest, are men put off by this when you get between the sheets?? I've had this conversation with a male friend of mine and he said that men luv confidence in a women, and that stretch marks are not an issue! Is he just being nice? All men are different. Some are shallow and judge-mental, some are sincere and forgiving. I'm a guy who has always had a weight problem but there were years where I got it together and was GQ material. Still I had stretch marks (not to be confuse with cellulite). I never found a woman who seemed to notice or care. I don't care either and expect it especially if you've had children. Like someone else said, confidence is most attractive. Over-confidence and heavy handed self promotion are not and smack of insecurity. Keep an exercise program going to tighten up and look good in clothes (like I'm doing now) and people around you will just want to know you. Cower away and do nothing and you'll get ****e.
shadowofman Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Would it totally turn you off if you were with a woman? I would have to avoid focusing on them. But of course it depends on how significant/abundant they are. Avoiding focusing on blemishes is fairly simple especially if there are attractive features to focus on.
Engadget Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Not really, I was with two girls who had them and it didn't really effect me. I have minor ones from when I weightlifted, so it happens. There are REALLY bad stretch marks though.
Bartender Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Turned off by bad breath or BO, poorly manicured hands or feet, yellow teeth, women who snort, baby talk, the Bob (haricut)..............but that's about it. Stretch marks don't really bother me.

You just need to start envisioning yourself always having sex with the mindset that those marks aren't even there. It's like minorities complaining about being judged for the color of their skin... there is exactly nobody who cares as much or more about the color of your skin (or your stretch marks) than you do. It is a variable controlled almost entirely by you.

LittleMissWonder Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Just wow men with all your other outstanding qualities and it will minimize the appearance of your stretchmarks... in his mind.
Author Gemmi Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Just wow men with all your other outstanding qualities and it will minimize the appearance of your stretchmarks... in his mind. Well the moment arose, and I tried to block the stretch marks out, I even got complimented on my body (that could have been all blah) but hey, who cares! However I was still really aware of them and id had a few glasses of wine Arrrrrhgggh wish I could just forget about them!
LittleMissWonder Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Just remember.... Whatever you focus on, expands! So if you focus on your stretchmarks, they will become a bigger problem. But if you focus on your sexy qualities, those are what will shine through instead!
DadofTwoGirls Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 hit the mark...stretch marks are part of the person...there are other things which a person can control and don't that are turn offs...are there any women who don't have any?..other than models?
JustJoe Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 LMW is right, if you focus on them, they will bother you and him. If you focus on your other attributes, so will he. I usually consider stretch marks as part of the total woman. If I'm into her (literally and figuratively) then who cares?
