So I know that Trippi has her Song thread on here, and I love it! So here's another thread based on songs in a way. I once had to do a project and create a soundtrack for my life...it was the best project I had ever been given. I love music, words, lyrics...

Going through all the music that reminded me of my past, where I had been, and how far I had come really helped dig me out of a hole I was desperately trying to climb out of at the time. It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that much. It did bring up a lot of people and times that I'd much rather have just shoved down the rabbit hole and forgotten about, but that made me realize that some things in my life that I thought I had come to terms with, well, I guess I never really did. When I had the finished product, however, I felt whole again in a way...I felt lighter, like I had finally, for lack of better words, shoveled my sh*t and buried it.

Enough of the rambling! :p

1. Post the lyrics to times in your life that made you who you are now, but it needs to be an entire soundtrack. Not one song at a time, please. :)

2. You should also post somewhat of a synopsis with each song if you'd like, but it's not required.

Hmmm, that's pretty much it for explaining it I suppose. Going to start working on mine now!

Have fun everyone! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

44 - Interesting project and there are so many facets to one's life.....not sure if I am "playing" correctly here, but I will start the thread off to early childhood and work my way from there....for each part that made life special to each part that made life hard.

Song list:

1. Wipeout - For all the times my dad played this on my mom's tummy when she was pregnant....thanks dad...not sure if that was a funny ha ha or a premonition.

2. Tie a Yellow Ribbon - First song I learned all of the words to at age 3

3. Delta Dawn - My parents most memorable song I sang at 4...and sang....and sang...and sang...grrr. People request it now and I say NO.

4. Jeramiah was a Bullfrog - for all the times that I sang this with my dad, cherished memory.

5. King of the Road - again, as a child singing this with my dad and again, getting to perform it with my dad as an adult later....so special.

Ok.....will have to move to disco and Motown era next....LMAO!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

HA HA HA - I recall someone telling me once that they collected old things....guess this tells my age.

Well that works, for sure :)

But, if there are memorable lyrics to the songs, post them! :D

Song list:

HA AH HA AH AH WIPEOUT!!!

If I don't see a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree, I'll stay on the bus, forget about us...put the blame on me....

She's 41 and her daddy still calls her Baby, all the folks around Brownsville say she's crazy

But I i tell you what i would do. I'd throw away the cars and the bars in the world and id make sweet love to you.

I sing, Trailers for sale or rent, Rooms to let, fifty cents, No phone, no pool, no pets, I ain't got no cigarettes

Ah, but, two hours of pushin' broom, Buys an eight by twelve four-bit room, I'm a man of means by no means

King of the road.

yeah...this makes no frigging sense...going back to my thread...LMAO!!! Wait!!! NO...MAKES PERFECT SENSE TO ME.....NOESSSSSSSS!!!!!

I recall riding through Iraq and telling a Marine Lance Corporal that if he played Shawan Twain one more trime? I would personally beat him if not shoot him to death! A hundred miles or more more of listening to the same DAMN tape!
