thats what i said Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I got a new job where there's a few guys my age there and I've been getting a lot more attention than I'm used to. Actually, I was really surprised when they all showed so much interest in me by asking me (we were all working together at one point) all sorts of questions one after another. One guy's asked me out several times and at the time I had a boyfriend, another keeps mentioning "hanging out" and even one guy who has a fiance - *sigh* he just so happened to be the only guy I had any interest in until I found out about her - was asking me to hang out after work. I don't think I've changed much in the last year and I'm in my mid twenties so I certainly haven't changed much physically. I'm simply curious why I might suddenly be getting so much more interest from guys. Don't get me wrong, I'm not fighting it, I'm only curious.
USMCHokie Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Is this newfound attention limited to your new workplace...? If so, then it's a consequence of your environment...especially if it's a male-dominated environment...the combination of you being a new employee and you being a woman will make all the guys there give you attention...akin to vultures on carrion... But if not, then I have no idea...perhaps you're wearing a new fragrance...? Or your hair is different...?
Ruby Slippers Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 You are The New Girl. This fact alone will bring every man in the office strolling by your desk for a while. The New Girl is one of the funnest kind of girls to be. Enjoy it. For maximum fun, be a little mysterious. Don't tell them everything all at once. I am consulting a couple days a week in the office of a new client, and I am currently The New Girl. And the guys that work there are SEXY! Very fun.
