SilentVoice Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Is it appropriate for girls to pick up guys? I don't mean nothing out of the norm .. or controlling type girls. but i would usually have a guy go out of his , lets say on a train, to talk to me. so is it appropriate for me To start small talk with a guy to show that i am interested. do guys like that?and in what scenarios is it ok?
Rorschach Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I can only speak for me, but if a girl came up and started talking to me I'm pretty dense so it might take awhile to get that she's, for lack of a better word, hitting on me, but once I got it I'd enjoy it.
skydiveaddict Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Guys would love it. I agree................
MrNate Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I don't see how this would be difficult at all for a woman. For men, it's almost an art. What would a girl need to 'pick up'?
ImThinkingWTF Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I do it all the time. I mean...sometimes it takes a little bit more effort than the glances and smiles. The guy im talking to now, I saw him in a bar thought he was attractive and went up and said hello. After that, he asked if i wanted a drink....and he has called me everyday since. This was on st patricks day. I also do the "dont i know you from some where" trick and the "i told my friend i thought you were attractive and shes going to give me hell if i dont say hello"....it actually works. I think its A LOT easier for a girl to approach a guy and not get rejected. But i will say, all i do is put the ball in his court. After numbers are exchanged...i let him do the chasing. But I'm also the type of person that will talk to anyone. Haha I went up to a girl at this festival a few weeks ago because she looked cool and like someone I'd want to be friends with so I started talking to her and we exchanged numbers. Lol, after she texted me later she admitted she thought I was hitting on her (I wasn't!)

You can talk to guys if you want. Don't need to ask for permission.

It's because i'm a gentleman & don't assume every woman that talks to me wants me.
EasyHeart Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 It's absolutely okay to initiate contact with a guy and most guys would love it. BUT: be careful which guys you approach. If you approach the wrong kind of guy, he will get cocky and be thinking, "Oh man, this **** wants me" and be all over you like white on rice. And may get mad at you for 'teasing' him when it turns out you're not looking for a quick hook up. But the other 90% of guys would be flattered and think it's cool.
