hi guys. This is probably something thats come up millions of times. Maybe someone will hit on an answer this time.. Something simple, effective and painless. (fingers crossed..)

Basically i'm smitten with this girl. Actually, smitten dont come close. Romeo couldnt hold a candle to how i feel about her. She's just amazing. Pretty, funny, clever, friendly. We had a thing a few years back, but I ended it cos it seemed too much too soon. And i've pretty much regretted it every day. And we've been good friends since. All very lovely.

But i dont know where to go now. Recently she moved away to a different city (about 2/3 hours away) where i'm terrified she'll meet someone and live happily ever after. (How ironic - i love her, but apparantly dont want her to be happy. Who the hell wrote these rules?!) We get on well, but i never get to see her that often. I wanna tell her how i feel, but dont wanna ruin a friendship or find out she doesnt feel the same way. Cos i think she might. Maybe not as strongly, but just maybe. If she was in some relationship it'd be easy. I could just try and move on. I dont know where i stand and i dont know what to do.

I dont know whether to come clean, put my cards on the table and risk it, or just try and move on. I havnt been with many girls since. They just dont compare. I want her to know, but i dont really want to tell her. But i dont wanna be a few years a down the line and think "mate, you should've done something"

I think i have a feeling i know what i should be doing. 'pull your finger out and pick up the phone'

Any comforting words? Please?! I cant eat, sleep or concentrate. I've got my last uni exams coming up and gotta do something. I cant keep going on like this!

Let her know man, its better than regretting not telling her anything - who knows what you could miss out on. As for loosing her as a "friend" what does it matter? You already want more so she can never just be a friend to you... Plus she is moving. One way or another you will loose her for good if you do nothing.

Pick up the phone, email, something. Yes, put all the cards on the table. Who knows, maybe she feels the same way - maybe that's why she's continued to be your friend all this time in hopes of rekindling a relationship.

Do it, or else this will eat at you forever knowing you did nothing. I don't know what I would say in this situation though. Just tell her how you feel, and if there is any way to make it work.. Don't make it too sappy though, just to the point, kind and honest.

Good luck. Let us know what she says.

Cheers for the advice :)

Now i need to go meet the wonderful wizard for some courage..

Get the courage and talk to her. Or else risk always wondering about the "one that got away." Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Yes, talk to her about it. Woo her with your magic charm! Whatever you do, don't let her slip away without knowing that at least you tried. Good luck!;)

Good grief, man! Don't TEXT her with that kind of revelation! CALL her and tell her if you can't do it in person. Don't do text or email, those are total copouts. If you want her to really believe it, she needs to hear your voice, at the very least.
