LK30 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Hi all When me and my ex split up 3 months ago (it was more or less mutual) I noticed she had got an internet dating profile on a well known site. I was a bit shocked as we had only been split a couple of weeks. Before I began full NC I e-mailed her (which I know was very wrong) to basically say 'you didnt take long to move on!). She told me her best mate (who I know was a big influence) got her to set one up with her best mate who was also single, and that her best mate uses it to chat to blokes, not her. Do you guys believe this was a lie and my ex gf was really doing online dating? I notice she is online sometimes (again I know i shouldnt look), and when we first split I messaged her and told me to go away, but the person messaging me claimed it was my ex's best friend talking. Surely it would be a bit creepy if someone went on a dating site and used their friend's profile instead of their own! Does anyone have any views on this? I got the impression she has a bf, but her profile is occasionally active as I have now signed up and sometimes she comes up on the search. I need a life!

Just was a bit shocked as it was quite quick for her to move on even tho it wasnt any of my business being as she said if I proposed to her she would defo say yes!! My friend reckons she is just dependent on having a man in her life and has just transferred from one to another as a way of dealing with it.

My gf broke up with me 2 months ago and I found out that she joined a dating site about 1 month ago. I was crushed. We had only been going out for 6 months, which may not seem like a lot to many people here, but it was a lot for me. The biggest reason why i was crushed was because we were each other's first love so I just couldn;t understand how she could join a dating site so soon after the breakup of your first love.
