Confused3 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Ok, so recently a girl started talking to me. I met her through a friend. She kept telling me how cute and how hot she thought I was, and flirted with me a bit. She wouldn't stop writing on my facebook wall and she wouldn't stop texting me etc.. So both me and her are going to be hanging out along with some other people on the weekends. I found out today, however, that she likes my friend. He is not sure if he likes her back, and I don't think that he knows that I liked her. I just feel a little overwhelmed because I am always there for people and I treat them so well and at some points they act like they like me more than friends. However, that never turns out to be the case. I am more of a friend to girls than I am someone they would like to date. I don't know why they keep acting like they like me and then go off and date some random guy and tell me how much fun they had. I feel like a puss but I just want to know what the hell is making them do this to me. I always complement them, tell them I think they are beautiful, and so on... Can I please get an answer? Thanks.
Fouts Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 An answer to what? She networked through you to get to your friend. It's not uncommon. Your time will come, you just sound a bit naive and with some experience that will fade away, hopefully. Keep hunting

I would mainly video chat just me and her after that. She didn't use me though. I didn't know her before he introduced me to her.

As far as it occurring quite frequently, alot of times when there's an initial attraction from a girl, guys quite being themselves for some reason and attempt to be what they think the girl is looking for. Maybe you're trying too hard when a girl starts showing interest in you? Be yourself.
