NightTrain Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Okay I asked a girl if she'd like to get coffee with me and she said yes. It was over AIM (which is I why I asked her for coffee instead of dinner/a date) because we dont have class together this semester and I dont see her on campus and I didnt have her number (I have it now and she has mine). We talk probably about two or three times a week online and post on each other's facebook every now and then. We are getting coffee Thursday night, so Im wondering how much should I contact her between then and now? I dont want to come on too strong, but I dont want to go cold turkey until then...so where is a happy medium where I wont come off as too strong and will show that I'm interested in her? Should I keep it online only (maybe text) until we get together for coffee and see if it progresses to a date before calling her and talking on the phone? Advice? Thanks
Sazerac Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'd contact her as much as I'd been doing in the past, if I were you. If you want to confirm on Thursday that you guys are "still on," that would be good--it would indicate that you're looking forward to the meeting without seeming clingy. If you're in the habit of contacting online, then keep it online, at least until you meet.
Romance Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Don't change anything, IM her as normal. Like tonight if she's online, talk to her, then maybe wednesday be like "hey are we still on for coffee tomorrow? " That'd be a nice way to progress into texting, it's easier and faster to finalize plans through a text than an IM
