Woggle Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I know this beating a dead horse but I was thinking of a friend of mine and I feel he can actually benefit from watching porn. It can be a great way for men who simply sick and tired of dealing with modern to get their rocks off and not actually becoming pigs who use women like he is becoming. I am not saying that men in relationships should choose it over a woman but for single who simply do not want to deal with the drama it can be a great thing.
Jersey Shortie Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Yeah, porn is really all about male benvolence and kindness to the female gender. When you look at porn you are still supporting the industry. An industry that isn't kind to women. Even when it's free, porn websites track what you view so they know what to put out there. I think that a man is still using women even if you are *just* the guy at home masturbating to the movie. In my opinion, by masturbating to the movie, a guy is saying: "it's okay to treat women like this and I like it." You know what is even a better idea in how men can treat women? Try not using them at all just because you got a hardon. Try actually being honorable instead of relaying on a medium that teaches you to self gratify. Porn doesn't exactly make men stronger and better. Lets not tell ourselves that it does.

Porn doesn't exactly make men stronger and better. Lets not tell ourselves that it does. Here is a serious question JS. What do you tell a man who has done nothing but do everything you say you want men to do only to have it thrown back in his face and get used and abused? Do you tell him to get out there and go back for more punishment, turn the tables and treat women like toys like he is doing or maybe to remove himself from the dating scene for now until he can understand why he is getting himself into this these situations? I am not saying porn is perfect but sometimes it can be a good alternative to throwing yourself into the meat grinder.
RobM Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I have nothing to add, I'm just playing around trying to figure out the formatting and embedding pics that didn't work, lol
CarrieT Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 not actually becoming pigs who use women like he is becoming. If he is becoming "a pig who uses women" than I would hazard to guess that porn would only make it worse. In my experience, guys who are pigs (i.e., disrespect women and use them for their own selfish needs) would see porn as yet another reason to continue to do so because that is how women are depicted in porn. I disagree with your argument, Woggle, that a guy like you are describing would benefit from porn. I think it would amplify his behavior.
