After 2 years of being single, I was seriously committed to thinking that I would never feel anything for another woman after a painful break up.

Except...I met a girl the other night who was out with a friend of mine. She was with another guy, but just a friend. We all sat in this bar, and we couldn't take our eyes off each other, we just kept staring at each other and smiling for no reason. It felt like the dazed feeling of being hit in the head with a hammer!

It was getting late around 5am so we went to an after hours bar, she ditched the other guy and we sat and talked til 8am while our other friend fell asleep then I drove them both home.

We hugged and kissed on the cheeks a few times when she got out the car, and when she was walking away she looked back twice.

I asked her if she wanted to do something together and she did say yes.

The next day I bumped into her on the beach with friends, not exactly planned but I did know she might be there. It felt good again, we chatted, I got her phone number and asked her if she wanted to do something the next day on her day off.

Anyway, point for posting is that shes a dancer/stripped. And I have done that before and got badly burnt. 2.5 years of craziness.

So the normal rules of female signals of interest don't apply.

I've discounted normal signs like light touching, smiling and signs of interest because they can be faked.

But, I think she is interested because:

- She told me a lot of personal, actually very personal life story information including her real name and age

- Looking back twice when she got out of the car, even though knackered at 9am in the morning

- Introduced me to her daughter

- The extremely prolonged bouts of eye contact that I am sure she had that "feeling" as well when I first met her..

Basically, I feel like a kid and need a few second opinions. Compared to the other girl this is very different in that I met her outside of her work and she hasn't tried once to suggest I go and spend any money there. (Had that happen before!)

It's just difficult to work out from the signs whether shes acting or for real. Don't want to get burnt again!

I also definitely want to avoid ending up in the friends zone!
