We broke up last month, Should I email him on his birthday?

I dated a guy for a couple of months, but we broke up about a month ago.

I liked him and he was attracted to me, but it was just bad timing for a relationship to work between us. We haven't been in contact since the first week after calling it quits, but I still think about him.

Now his birthday is coming up. Should I email him to wish him well? I'm too chicken to call him.

That bolded statement is strange to me, were you not attracted to him you just liked him? To me, there is no such thing as a romantic like, there is attraction or there are no romantic feelings at all.

If I were him, I wouldn't want you to. It brings hope back that you will get back together.

Girls, please stop turning guys that you are not attracted to (but they are to you) into your friends. It is not nice behavior, it is cruel, shallow, and heartless.

Don't contact him. Let him be.

Oh, I was also very attracted to him romantically. I should have phrased it better in my initial post.

He's a separated single dad with a lot on his plate. I'm wondering if I should have been more accommodating to his complicated situation and tried to work things out instead of walking away. I would consider getting back together with him, but not sure if I am ready to do that right now. I don't want him to think I've forgotten about him.

HE'S not interested. if he was - he'd move mountains to be with you. it's what interested men do.

do not put energy into a place that isn't interested. move forward. forget about him... i can guarantee he's not giving you the slightest thought.

This above is not good advice.

I did not realize that you were attracted to him, that changes everything. Rather than being passive aggressive, just tell him how you feel. I don't know the story, but it sounds like you still want this guy. If you broke it off with him, I'd say you're confused.

it doesn't state she broke it off. it states "we" broke it off. he had a part too. if he wanted her that much - they wouldn't have parted. since he hasn't shown significant effort and interest - she's just chasing after him when he's not interested enough to have already made the effort.

looks desperate if she contacts.

We don't know the whole story so it is virtually impossible to draw any conclusions...

If you guys broke it off and decided to be friends - I'd send him some birthday wishes, just something friendly and polite.

Do you think he would remember your birthday and wish you a happy one? Probably not. I say don't contact him. What's the point?
