Cipix27 Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 ok so i've been with my girlfriend for almost 4 years...we've been in love all the time...but we had a pretty bad fight about 2-3 months ago!...now she called me to meet her...when i went she told me she dosen't feel i love her anymore and dosen't feel anything when i hold her or kiss here like before...then she broke up with me by telling me it's best for me because i will get hurt if i stay with her longer! i have absolutly no idea what's going on...anyone had this happen before?

Happened to my friend in college, same time period together as well. She broke up with him because he let himself go (he gained a ton of weight, didn't put in much of an effort in school, didn't bother to look for a side job). She originally told him she needed time, but he didn't want her to let go so he kept trying to contact her. She finally broke it off. Did you talk to her about why her feelings changed? She should give you a reason. People just don't fall out of love without some kind of reason, big or small.

Ask her flat out how she came to this logic (lack thereof).
torranceshipman Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 A big reason for the fight (from her perspective) was frustration with the R. Sounds like a classic break up scenario-she just has fallen out of love with you & wanted to be honest & tell you. She was very clear and you need to move on dude. So sorry you had bad news-I know it hurts. But to NC and move on...consider her in the past. If you hold on to hope then you'll only get hurt. Nothing from your post suggests something confusing or mixed messages ( think about it-a break up is never going to make sense to the dumped person no matter how it is worded!). Good luck...
