EthanH Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I am in such a mess. My gf of over a year broke up with me 2 months ago. I have posted on the break-up page the full story for background: http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showthread.php?t=228641 until sunday, I was pretty much moving forward. Then she admitted she was unsure and that she missed me. I always wanted to get back with her, at least see what we would be like after I felt we had got perspective on the relationship and also changed as people. I feel like I actually opened myself up again. We were together until thursday, and then she realised I couldn't do the whole single but still together thing (i'm not sure she could either) She told me things in the days we were back together that hurts so much to know now. The main reason for me to post this was to ask if people have any advice for the problematic logistics of my situation: My ex and I are both students in the same very small university town. We also have a situation whereby the majority of our friends are mutual friends from a group of around 30...I know I can make new friends, but I will have to decide to spend less time with my best friends if I want true NC with her. She told me at first that she wanted me to be in her life, but recently she said it was clear that with me it is 'all or nothing' as she knew that we both would always ending up hooking up if we spent any time together even as friends as the chemistry is still so strong. The town is so small... there is one venue which is open after 1am, so if you are having a good night out, you know you will bump into everyone else out. There is one main supermarket. It is just impossible to do NC in this town, and I have another year left from september. I need to come back to finish my degree. I have experienced this situation in this town a few times, and it is impossible not to bump into an ex at least once a week...and my previous ex's weren't in the same friends group as my most recent ex is. You can't do NC if you don't see someone, i feel like even seeing her is going to ruin that... what should I do? help!
